Well, I had a £120 HSP car for the last year, nothing special at all, Finally talk it into a feild for its first off road run did a few tiny ant hill jumps and the car broke. the "dogbone" joint to the front left wheel snaped, chasis dented all sorts, I can't justify making the repairs when I could get something a little better. Just looking for a few opinions on the acms condor pro to be honest, is it a good car?

Thanks.

Dan

Stick with the main brands like HPI, OFNA, Losi, Team Associated, Traxxas, sure each one has its own quirks, but ones from these makers have more hop up parts support, and warranties. You will spend more upfront, but its worth it.

+1 SUREFIRE, very good suggestion. And before you buy ask you self what you really want size and type of the cars, for bashing or for racing. Cause there car cars very tough for bashing but not good for racing, (for example I had a savage X very tough for bashing but not really good in race track racing, but for speed no problem with savage x and big air jumps) that one only I learned from my experienced.

After reading the web page on it I would run away from it as fast as possible.

Acme Tech models now come with high quality Team Infinity engines. Team Infinity engines are made in Japan and feature a simplified carb that makes them the easiest to start and most reliable engines on the market. Nitro engines usually have two or more tuning needles but these only have a single adjustment that makes them much easier to use without sacrificing any power.

One needle, really one, that says tuning nightmare to me, they just give you a HSN which probably means the LSN is factory set stupid rich.

I would buy a used quality brand RC & rebuild before spending money on one of these.

This is the funniest thing I have seen in awhile on a RC!
Bet there's a LSN under the hand sticker?

maybe this is what i want?

for off road 4x4 bashing I love my Savage XL, but the engine it comes with can be a real PITA. The Savage X is good. Losi is more for racing, but any of their off road kits and rtrs are quality. If those are out of your price range, look at some of the off-road 1:10 vehicles. Just before you decide on what you want post a message asking opinoins on it. Ppeople here are always willing to help.

Well, ~I am seriousley considering the
HPI 101701 BULLET
It is also fully water proofed.
It is more within my price range too. Just need to know if it offers a decent bashing experience with some speed :)

There should be a LSN , can you post a picture that can be seen the linkage for throttle. That is a rotary carb, usually its in the center of the nut that is holding the linkage.

Nitro Star G3.0 engine

The Nitro Star G3.0 engine provides all the muscle for the Bullet 3.0 nitro trucks - it's loud, powerful and strong, to give you amazing acceleration and awesome top speed! The engine is started by a simple pullstarter system and is protected by a unique water splash cover and 2-stage air filter for extra protection, and the two-needle carburretor allows you to fine-tune the performance of the engine for any kind of weather or fuel.

Displacement: 3.01cc
Bore: 16.8mm
Stroke: 13.6mm
Power: 2.2hp @ 31,000 RPM
Maximum RPM: 32,000 RPM
Carburettor: F2-6.5 (Composite 6.5mm)
This clipping from the hpi website confirms there are two needles

The screw under the fuel inlet is your LSN on your last pic.

Danielpalfre that HPI you posted looks like a sturdy little buggy.

Wow, sorry guys... Yep I've check the manual for that engine "team infinity .18" it really has only 2 screw adjustment. 1 for idle screw and the 2nd is for the HSN. Until now I can't figure it out how does it work. Can this be tuned properly?

My last engine on the hpi was a team infinity with the 3 needles so I am no stranger to tuning.
Tuning correctly is the challenge lol

Are you sure that sticker isn't covering the Mid speed adjustment? That's usually specifically factory set and not to be changed. I think the LSN is on the opposite side.

i really can't get the money together for the savage wich is ashame since i really like it

I heard the bullet is a decent rig for the price, and if the savage is out of your price range, the bullet is the next best thing.
