Now are you sure you really want to scroll down?

You'd better be sure....

You sure you're sure?

Ok here we go starting with mild to wild:

Now here's Guapo, very bloody rat:
Check out that blood...
CIMG0032a.JPG

Shoulda used red eye reduction...
CIMG0034a.JPG

Check out the size of that rat and Guapo is 7' long:
CIMG0041a.JPG

Here he is on his second rat, check the bulge from the first one:

Lastly here's Pirata with a huge gerbil:
CIMG0036a.JPG

Check out hoe much her mouth is stretched:
CIMG0045a.JPG

Now this next pic is kinda gruesome. Do not scroll down if you don't think you can handle it.

Ya been warned...

Last chance...

The gerbil was too big so Pirata regurgitated the gerbil allowing her stomach acids to partly decompose the gerbil so she will have an easier time swallowing it.
CIMG0048a.JPG

Now the second time trying to get the gerbil down:
CIMG0052a.JPG

Look at the stretch in that skin...
CIMG0059a.JPG

I couldn't believe how much her skin was stretched:

Last one, totally down the hatch and look at that bulge:

That is freaking AWSOME..I dont have snakes but i do have an Austrailian bearded dragon..hes getting to be a fatty..he is only 6 months old he is about 18 inches from head to tail and is awsome.

That was the coolest thing. Now I have to get one. I wonder what the laws are with owning one of those things. Yeah thats it!
I have to go to the pet shop and get myself a rat.
Love "Ratzo"! lol

Don't quote me on this but owning boas I believe is legal in 49 states, exception being Hawaii which has no snakes. The harder part about owning snakes is finding a good vet to take them to when ill. The vet I go to is the best on the East coast traveling frequently north and south to deal with ill snakes.

o man wow, u really can see that they ate somethin.. lol. seein that mouse made me think of my albino frog...my albino frog died after having him for 5 years... he got out of his tank.... fell 4 feet... crawled into the kitchen.. found him the next morning covered in dirt... still alive... put him back in his tank, he seemed fine..... but i just checked on him and he is dead.... :( :cloud9:

later

A dinner fit for a king....

So how long will they be good for till their next feeding?

Do the rats & gerbils make noises when they are being squeezed or are they already dead?

I used to have 2 Lawson's bearded dragons. They are one of the best lizards to have and easily mate.

El P- Those are very good pics. Brought me memories of my old job managing at Petland Discount.

I too had Beardied dragons for awhile... Buying freakin crickets every other day became a real hassle.. At one point, I was buying 100 at a time, & keeping them in a seperate 10 gallon tank. The smell & noise was horrendous... Needless to say, they found themselves back at the store.. My next reptile will be a Mali Uromastic...

Sorry for the derailment EP.... Nice snakes..

All I can see is boots..lol

Cool pics. Where do you keep the snakes?? Are they ever pissy with you or snap at ya or anything??

Mine ate crickets twice a week. The other days I gave them Lettuce, kiwi and some other fruits mixed with some vitamin pellets. Keeps them from being just carnavors.

Sorry El P for being off topic

El Pirata, can you sent me one of this snakes? I need it for my mother in law.:D

Nearly dead from a sudden stop against a solid object like I wall is the safest way to feed snakes. However when I did feed live yes mice and rats generally squeeked once, no more no less.

I have a very mean and shy one that's gotten a piece of me more times than I can count. The last time he bit me he knocked one of his teeth loose and imbedded it in my finger, it was pretty cool. However since then a month has passed and he has not bitten me again. Maybe losing a tooth was his hint not to bite me.

From what I know about mothers in law generally their asses are too big for any snake even 30' reticulated pythons to eat

Nice, EP. I had a 10 foot Bermese python that I fed 2 rats a week. It probably could have eated 5-10. The rats make a sharp squeek when the snake grabs them, and I used to feel bad about it for a few seconds. So my roomies and I decided to get them, um, baked on second hand smoke, hoping to reduce any suffering. It didn't matter, they sqeeked just the same, they just smelled funnier.
