Okay here are some photos from the local newspaper here in Orlando, FL. The Power company was digging some trenches near the Airport when they found an 18 1/2 foot gator in a colvert. The next photo shows what they found in the other culvert - 87 Diamond back rattlesnakes. The location this photo was taken at is about 8 miles from my home.

well - 1. its mouth is all taped - and i think they already killed it. 2. u become very complacent about them when u live here. they are so common, that i have water skied over them several times without thinking about it. before u go swimming in a lake, or skiing - if u see them swiming nearby - u just through sticks at them till they leave - for the most part they are really shy

Looks like home sweet home to me. Now I have to find a reason to tell the Army why I want to move to Florida, that's going to be the hard one...

When I went to Florida I loved it. So many bitches in Bikini's. I think I walked around with wood the whole time. All you have to watch out for in Florida is my trouser snake biting you.

Hey NA, theres alot of gator nuggets there mmmmmm, wheres my honey mustard. BBQ rattler is damn good too!

I had a baby gator for a pet a few years back when I lived in south Florida. I grew up down in south Florida and as you mentioned you are just used to seeing them in almost any body of water, swimming pools not excluded.

yeah nc - u know what i am talking about - see them everywhere - 'specially down in sebring where u are.

NA, it was too funny, on the NC SC border there is a huge lake called lake Wylie, well they got one gator in it, just one, and it was only about 6-8 feet long, well the way the news went on about it you would have though it was the loch ness monster. Down here it's the norm.

Thats funny as hell.

a story for ya
When i was a child - we lived on a pond - had pet ducks in it - and a gator moved in, and began to eat them. My step father and i decided we would catch it. sure enough, after about 4 hours in a row boat, we netted it and wrestled it into the boat - it was about 3 feet long, maybe 100lbs, not very big. We taped its mouth shut, put it into a cardboard box, and proceeded to drive it to a river about 10 miles away. well, that sucker climbed outta that box in about 30 seconds, and proceeded to climb up onto the ledge behind the back seat, sun itself in the back window. Lemmi tell ya, you havnt seen people stare, until a tourist drives by and sees a live alligator sunning itself in the back window of your car! funniest thing i remember about my childhood, lol.

humboldt - that pic of the fatty! u have issues man! ::shudders::
