Went to Wally-World tonight and found a WCC Jesse James custom Atv, it was on sale for 49.99 so i said what the heck and bought it i need sumthing to screw around in the snow with.Well the question i have is can i charge the 9.6v Batt on my Piranha CX/10 15 minute fast charger aslong as i use the wal adapter to do the first charge(5 hours)? I would be nice not to have to wait 5 hours when it goes dead.As i was looking at the quad their is alot of potential their is anough room for a reciever,ESC,a good mini servo and a stick pack.I might have to modifiy it alittle to fit a better motor in it,but i can easily change out the shocks for oil filled ones too. Here is a picture of it.

pic dont work. First find out if its a NiCD or NiMH battery. the 15 min fast charge is typically only for NiCD batteries and will not work on a NiMH battery. It will mess up the battery.

Well the battery is a NiCD.So would it matter after the first charge is i use the fast charger or the one provided with the quad?
Lets see if this works now.....

I am replacing the shocks now,i have a set of old duratrax maxium st shocks and springs, they are a little long so i am gonna just cut the spring to drop it for now till i can buy some that are the right length.

What did you, and why, did you do that to your xbox? Is that a skin? Wierd.

NiCD chargers, it would not matter what charger you use for the first, second, or any amount of recharges. Just make sure that you do not over charge. Fast chargers are always for NiCD. NiMH require peak.

Well no it is not a skin it is painted on,all the controller ports light up orange, the ring around the power button is oranger and the jewel(its clear and has the ICP ringmaster etched into it) in the middle lights up orange too,ohh and why because it was out of warrenty and i need sumthing to do when i get a airbrush I am gonna airbrush real looking flames on it(like Killer Paint does).,.Ok thanks for the help on the charging.I also just got done studding the tires front and back and now it hooks up and goes on the ice ring(the road) in front of my house, those little dinky tires dotn do crap for traction on and thing wet.

I'm surprised you are actually able to mod an R/C from walmart hehe.

I just got a motorcycle from Walmart that has the same skeleton dude on it lmao. I picked it up for 10 bucks!!!! I also got a truck that "smokes" the tires hehe it was 15 buck I think I'm going to give that to my little bro though

lol at walmart modding. have fun!

I just got my 9.6v 2000mAh NiMH battery and charger. It is a wall charger but nowhere on the charger or the battery does it say how long it has to charge. The specs of teh charger are--Input:120v AC 60Hz---Output:9.6v DC 350mA.
Does anyone know who long i would charge this battery for?

Thanks
Jeff

the battery is 2000mah. thats milli amp hours. and the charger puts out 350ma or milli amps per hour. so 2000/350=5.71... so its will take about 5.7 hours to charge or roughly 5 hours and 45 min.

That is roughly correct, there are several other factors involved, but I'd give it 7 hrs or a lil more to cofirm a full charge if your charger doesn't have a full charge indicator.

To bring this back up, I have a question on tires and wheels. This thing needs tires bad when its cold out they turn to plastic and don't stay soft like real tires should. I thought i could just change the trie out, but the backside diameter of the wheel is just about 2 inches and the front side is 1.37 inches,so i can't just change the tires. I was thinking of changing the wheels and every thing since it has a hex hub, when i tried a wheel the hub on the ATV was to small. I just measured the hub and it is about 3/8 or .37 which if I converted it right is about 9.39mm,now from what i have seen the R/C wheels are like 11-12mm. My question is does anyone know of a company or r/c that has a 9mm hex hub on it? It would be great if their is so i dont have to end up making some kind of adapter up to go up to the 11-12mm hex wheels.

Thanks
Jeff
