vrc tracks

Well I got my VRC in the mail yesterday with a lot of other rc parts, and I got it installed and updated. I LOVE IT!! It has already improved my driving skills tenfold. That doesn't mean that they're good, just better than they were. So here's my question:

I didn't use up my track credits on the tracks that they automatically offered because I wanted to be sure and get the best track for me and the RCNT club. I got the basics like RC Speedway, the VRC drift and stunt course, kakegwa (or however it's spelled). What tracks would you reccomend for a beginner to learn on? I would rather get the best tracks for practice, and then buy more tracks later for the club races if I don't already have them. I practiced one of the road courses last night and it was a lil technical for a total newb to on road, so I thought you guys could help me make a wise selection. Thanks in advance for your time with this!!

Any other useful information such as good cars for a beginner to learn setups, etc... is also welcome!

I know there are a few decent tracks to get wheel time on. Unfortunately I'm at work so I can't get to my software to let you know what I like. But if no one chimes in, I'll check out what 3 tracks I used my credit on and let you know what I think.

Not really sure if they're what interest you. Halifax and Melzo are relatively open. Some high-speed sections with some tight switchbacks. I'm waiting for the clubs to get up and running again to see what other tracks may come into play.

Thanks a lot candyman, that is VERY helpful. I think I might get Halifax and Mezlo and then save the rest for when we get our club races going. I've got A LOT of practice going. There's guys running consistent 5's on the RC speedway and my best runs were 7.2's and 7.3's.

That's pretty good right off the bat Charlie, If I remember correctly. Jeff and I were runnin 6.9s and 7.0s... throw in a couple 6.8s in there too I think. Jeff and I were pretty fierce competitors on the Speedway. That's a lot of fun right there!
