I have recently taken on a Virus 2.0 Nitro RC Buggy and it was running fine when I was shown it before i bought it. But for some strange reason I went to start it the other day and the buggy is revving like crazy without any touching of the Controller. Does anyone know what could be causing this?? If anyone know hows how to stop this from happening so i can actually use the buggy that would be appreciated.

Check the trim tab on the transmitter. It probably got pushed up. It's a slide switch next to the left stick. Lower it until it idles without moving. If that's not it make sure the carb isnt stuck open

Thank you very much for the info :) which one is the trim on the controller i have a 2 channel controller??

There is a trim tab for each channel. The trim for the left stick adjust throttle. The trim for the right stick centers steering. Ch2 should be throttle. When adjusting it the servo will move slightly. I adjust it by removing the air filter and watching the carb close to a 1mm gap. I have mine setup to shut the engine off when the trim is moved all the way back closing the carb completely.

I think if you adjust your engine like that, once you make on brake position your engine will be off. You must adjust the 1mm gap on the idle screw not on the throttle trim. Only suggestion.

Wasn't suggesting setting it up like that. I just don't need the brakes where I run my car. If you need to use the brake do not set it up that way bc avelciario is correct the engine will shut off. Sorry for not stating that. Was only suggesting the trim got pushed all the way up on the controller during transport.

Wow, you are not using brake? Good for you. cause for me I will not run any of my car without a good brake. Thanks buddy.

Why would you run with no brake? I'm just curious because it just seems like there would be at least a handful of times when you would want to be able to brake even if you didnt need to. I'm not criticizing I'm truly just wondering.

Hill climb racing. No need to brake. Just shut it down at the top or if something goes wrong. That's why I set it up that way
