awhile back i came into possession of a Venom Mini Giant circa 2004, it was in pretty rough shape and missing a few parts. as parts are getting harder and harder to find for it i decided it would make a good candidate to recreate the parts with revisions and updates within fusion 360.
major priority was to ensure that the 3d printed parts are interchangeable to stock parts.
this includes the recesses/ protrusions for holding the axle halves to slot together etc.
first order of operations was to create the major parts that were broken/missing.

axle body top.

recreated axle top in fusion:

axle top printed:

as you can see it is also missing the axle "extension" piece or cover to clamp the bearings at the axle end.
so that was next:

unfortunately didn't get any pictures of it separate.
then caster/steering block was missing as well
design:

assembled:

given that i was already replacing the front axle assembly decided for design purposes why not also do the rear:

full axle:

as of now because the rear axle on the original is ok i am not printing yet, going to be doing the frame next.
i do not have the original parts for the steering linkage, but original it is a slider style, i do not like this design so i am re-designing with actual linkage:
steering linkage revised.webp

this will be getting another revision as the frame rails get in the way of servo link/stopper, and the 3d printed link is much too short, but proof of concept. the area is super tight! the linkage rod barely clears the frame.
this isnt as much of a priority project, so will be updated rather slowly.

thanks for looking!
