She's a beauty! How long is she, looks close to eight feet. Please share pics when she makes it in the water. 😍
Doom!
Thanks for the kind words. The base board is 8 feet. She is 11' 4". The ice has just cleared the ponds so it is still a bit nippy for my toes to go swimming, but asap it warms up she is going in and I'll post more pictures.

Absolutely amazing!!! I am really looking forward to seeing a vid of this one!

Congrats! You must be very happy! 3 years is a long time!!! 🤯😎:thumbs-up:

How will you transport it?
I tagged you because OP is also in Maine.

Hope ain't THAT far north. Ptld is 1 3/4 hr from us. We are not in Fort Kent (where the ice is still not out)
Oh, and Juneau does float. She got her feet wet two years ago, just without her superstructures.

I don't know why I thought you were in bear wrestling territory! 🤣

About 2.5 hrs north of Biddeford (next town over)... No one knows where Lyman is.

Do you have a pond or lake nearby for testing and running? I have only seen vids. Never saw a ship like this actually run on its own.

How do you transport a boat like this?

The only RC I've seen thats bigger were a few airplanes at an RC airshow at Sanford airport years ago.

I'd love to hear more about the power and radio system on this beast!

Awesome!!! :cool::thumbs-up:

No bears in the neighborhood, except in the blueberry fields. Hope is right next to Camden/Rockland and there are plenty of lakes and ponds to run in. I am right across from Alford Lake.
I have a "special" Chevy extended van for luggin' models. My radio is a FrSky Tandem X and I am currently using 23 channels. Don't ask the # of functions because it is way more than that and I would have to look it up.
Power is 2x 24 volt brushed d/c motors, direct drive. I believe they turn around 4-4500 rpm. They draw very little in amps. Motor batteries are two 12 amp 12v SLA's in series and the radio and the house electronics run off 2 x 12v 12 amp SLA's in parrallel.

I would wrestle bears for blueberries! 🤣

'Special van' sounds like the school bus I rode in. Lol!

Across the street doesn't sound too terrible a drive at least!

It really sounds impressive! I bet its amazing to see it all working!
