Hi

I have just acquired a36" Perkasa PT boat model.
Currently stripping the hull and deck for filling and repaint.

The fitting and fixtures that were on yhe model seem to be a mixture of plastic fittings and diy.

The hole cut into the deck seems to be to large resulting in the upper super structure being stuck onto a boat and then screwed to the deck.

I would kile to correct this so:-

Do any of the members have a set of plans instructions etc, that they would be willing to send me or copy?

Thanks in advance
Andrew

**Super structure stuck onto a board then boat screwed to deck.**

You will need to know the manufacturer of the original kit, and the scale to start searching for an instruction manual. Welcome to RCT!
This is what Google spit out

The 36-inch KD Perkasa is a 1/24 scale model of the British Vosper Fast Patrol Boat, originally produced by Precedent (and later Aerokits/Dumas). It is not a Higgins PT boat, though it shares similar fast patrol boat characteristics.

Cool find. Let your imagine and creativity run wild. Sometimes on models like this it’s more of a footprint to build and customize to make it work with what you have. Can’t wait to see more.

Hull stripped the old tar like paint gone!
Had to resort to heat gun as sandpaper just gummed up. Obviously outside in garden cause it stunk!!!

Found two areas where water had rotted the ply.

Near the bow right on the most difficult profile and along the path of the prop shaft and rudder.

Just started to add small pieces of balsa to try and give a basic shape for the filler to adhere too.

The part along the prop and rudder had also rotted the keel line so new keel wood had to be grafted in.

Whilst waiting for the glue to set I started the task of correcting the hole in the deck for superstructure.
