I have a gallon of Blue Thunder 20% Racing Formula which came free with the purchase of my LST2. Now I went out and bought another gallon but accidentally bought the Sport Formula instead of Racing. Now it's still the same brand of nitro, both being Blue Thunder except one is Sport and the other is Racing. Would it be better to just stick with 1 type of fuel? Is it harmful if for example I ran 1 tank of the Racing Formula and then the next tank of the Sport Formula? My LST2 hasn't even been broken in yet. Any suggestions?

The sport variety is going to have a higher oil content than the racing formula. If you haven't used any, I would take back one of the two, and get the matching type, just for consistency of needle settings.

I agree, but if they won't take one back, use up one gallon before you start the other. You might have to do a little adjusting for it, but after a gallon you should already know what it needs just by the sound and performance.

There's no refunds on fuel. What I'm concerned about is it won't hurt the engine or shorten its life would it? Is it recommended to use only 1 type of fuel for the life of the engine?

Oh and which fuel would be better for the LST anyway?

It's really not a probem to change fuels. Sometimes you might need to tweak a little, but that's about it. If you change the nitro content, though, it's recommended that you run 2 or 3 tanks as a 'break in' to get the engine performance re tuned for the difference in power and running temp.
Everyone has their favorite, but any brand name fuel is good. However, I've learned that Traxxas engines want Traxxas fuel to run their best.

I don't see a problem either, so long as you stay with the same nitro content. I've changed fuels several times, from Byrons, to Odonnels, to Dynamite, to Trinity. Never had a single engine go pop from all the changes. Just take that first few tanks easier than normal.
