It was connected to my pc... it was sitting right next to my pc and i guess one of the cells exploded and flipped it on the floor. it was off too. i would think if it was gonna go out ina blaze of glory, which it did, it would have done it when it was on? i dunno

I would check the manual for the camera and see if it charges the battery's off the USB port of the PC when connected. I know that some data cables for cell phones do that. I also wouldn’t tell Ratshack that it was connected. Also if I remember correctly on most battery packages it state's they are only responsible for battery replacement and not property damage.

naw that really sucks...i know they have the warning on batterys....but i dont think it covers them from gross failures like that it will pobily take a while but they should replace that camera

they should replace the camera, and your carpet. if they dont, i would get a lawyer involved. I'm really not the kind of person to jump and sue, but thats rediculous. you could have lost everything you own and both of your lives because of those damn batteries.

yea i know. I just e-mailed the battery company. they are closed today so i will call them on monday. if thet want to be poopy about it I am going to get a lawyer involved.
