If you mean the drive lines, I'm not sure if anyone ever did anything other than the plastic.

I'm sorry. I did mean the drive lines. I lost the one little pin that is in the cv. So pokin around I found that the center shafts from the losi comp crawler will work in the night crawler. As you stated the plastic drive shafts.
Any idea if there is anything needed to make them work?

Sorry I have no idea. I didnt have a losi long enough to mod it. I would assume they are interchangeable though.

Thought I would post an update so the info will be on here. I ordered the shafts from a losi comp crawler. Both shafts are the same length. The front shaft goes in like a breeze. The rear not as easy but not terrible. I would suggest loosening the lower links. I did not and it worked. It was very snug fit. But they work well and IMO is a good upgrade.
