Don't do it! Save up and get something with parts support, and a good reputation. A cheap car is just that, cheap.

I know you probably don't want to hear it, but if you insist on going cheap, look into the scx24. You're not going to get a good 1/10 scale new rc car for under $115.

Great advice. Besides, alot of cheap products use other companies R&D and I refise to support those before the cheap ones. Today I was looking at a wpl c24 I think. I got a body already. Due to parts support, I decided to buy Rc4wd front and rear axles.

@Addict Rc
What kind of rc are you looking for? You maybe able to find an ebay fixer up. Do you have a local pawn shop?

@Addict Rc - as hard as you are on your RC's, an Amazon RC is going to last you maybe a battery pack or two. Then good luck finding replacement parts. It's just not a good move.

if your going to purchase from amazon look for something like redcat or Himoto , or wl toys. at least they sell the parts for them on amazon too , and places like bangood are loaded with hop ups for them , But Honestly , like others have said best to go with brands with great parts support (Aarma , Losi , Associated etc, etc.)

Pls help I want a rc car from amazing for under $115
Can get a c-24-1 for under hundred on amazon, with tons of parts support and mods. I believe they are around $79 even cheaper on banggood a wpl c-34 on banggood shipping from the U.S is $53. I'm a fan of WPL trucks. You dont need to spend hundreds of dollars to have fun.

What kind of rc are you wanting? What scale?

I've been where your at. I've found some nice trucks on craigslist. I was just at 18 and first working, I took buses and even biked a whole county, both motorized and cheap pedal bikes. Before that I was buying tires, bodies, and hopups for my Stampede xl5 and vxl and got the Nitro Sport.

My suggestion is if your slash is running, you just spent money on it. I would leave it as is. The money you have, if you need, maybe buy one part or a few spares. The rest save for a new car. It may take 6 months or a year, but then you have two running trucks, you feel good saving and waiting for it, and it maybe something that can handle what you throw at it.

If used, a pawn shop would be the safest. You can see it in hand, and if you research your car, you may be able to talk them down.

The truck that got me into the R.C. addiction was the XHL 9125. You can get it for under $100 it really takes a beating and I ran 3s on it n/p. It zipped pretty well too. But I to would say invest in your slash. Not going to get better then that for that amount of money.

I would save up and get a well known RC car such as, Traxxas, HPI, Losi, Arrma, HSP racing, etc. because parts are readily available and easy to get hold of. I got a slash 2wd in 2020 and I still have it.

However you can get brands such as WL toys, HBX, PX toys, LC racing etc. they are cheaper than the well known brands but they will cost more than cars on amazon. depending on the scale (such as a 1/18th, 1/14th, 1/10th, 1/8th etc). you will get what you pay for. there also some good hobby grade ones out there on:

Banggood
Aliexpress
Ebay

You gotta look and do some research and see if you can get parts support so you can fix it in case you break it.

I just bought my kiddo a boat from Banggood. It ran only a few minutes. I sent a ticket for service, telling them the esc/rx combo in it had gone bad. So I asked them to send a new esc. After getting the runaround for 3 weeks, where they asked me to buy my own esc and let them know how much it cost, to offering a $50 refund, they finally asked if them sending me a new esc would fix my problem. I was like really? Another week goes by and now they are finally sending us a new boat. But guess what? The boat is out of stock til God knows when. I will be really surprised if they ever send it.

This kind of customer service, or lack there of is so frustrating!
