It was wondering when we'd start seeing emails like this. ☹️

Wonder why if this is because why my tires are on backorder or is this a separate issue?
That could be hard to determine. With the increased tariff costs, I'm sure some folks were buying ahead of this increase knowing that it would affect prices of products. So it's possible that could cause the backorder. If Redcat is putting out a notice, you can expect other companies selling parts or RCs coming from overseas will have a higher purchase price to help them absorb this increase in their imports.

It's a definite bummer, but that's what we have to deal with now. I'm glad I got my Ascent Scout II ordered when I did.

Yep! It's totally sucks. I miss the 80s-90s for sure. Everything went down hill in the 2000s, IMO

Hmm, my local shop is having a hard time getting a lot of stuff in. A lot of them are on back order and unavailable for an ETA.

I got similar yest from a self defense supply store. Said the prices will be changing for them so they are reserving the right to change prices to me.
Can someone explain how foreign countries are paying for these tarriffs?
As far as I can see, everything just got WAY more expensive and NO ONE BUT ME IS PAYING FOR IT!

Welcome to the rest of the world... We all pay tariffs and tax on import (well except within the European economic area).

On anything from the US, China, HK... Depending on value and type of merchandise it's from a few percent to 50ish %...

its the new normal. we fukka you. we got money you dont, these types of things only affect us poor people, i dislike laws that only target one group of people. it sets my boogaloo meter into overdrive.
to me an additional 100 onto my pricetag is painful, to someone in a higher tax bracket its not even noticed.
its like a speeding ticket. if that ticket costs me 200 theres a penaly for me for speeding, but my bro that makes 2k a week?? nah he drives like hes on fire everywhere he goes, says fuckit it i will pay the ticket and rolls coal to get where hes going. these tarrifs are similar in nature
The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion

Trump’s tariffs may hurt the U.S. economy in the short term by raising prices for consumers and businesses. However, they are designed as a negotiation tool — a way to force other countries to either drop their tariffs on American products or face equal tariffs in return.

For years, many countries have heavily tariffed U.S. goods while the U.S. allowed foreign products to enter with little or no tariffs. Trump’s strategy levels the playing field by making it costly for those countries to maintain unfair trade practices.

In the long run, if successful, the tariffs will push countries to open their markets to American exports, bringing manufacturing, investment, and jobs back into the U.S. economy. The goal is to create stronger, fairer trade relationships that ultimately grow the American economy, increase national wealth, and reduce dependency on foreign nations.

Is it painful in the short term? Yes. Does it benefit us more in the long run? Also, yes. Things should have never been allowed to get like this in the first place but politicians are more concerned with how they can amass wealth (morally or immorally) and not so much concerned with the health of our country.

My garden is already underway. Started raking and clearing last night.
I'll be growing some 'veggies' to pad my extra tariffs this year I guess.

As far as free existence goes...

My next door neighbor lets me use her truck sometimes.
She was telling me how the shop she goes to wanted to charge her $125/hour to diagnose her broken license plate bulb in her 1997 Nissan Frontier P/U.
The truck only has 9 wires in it!!! 🙄🤣
You can buy a whole new bumper for $125... lights and all!!!
I fired that asshat at the garage. I fix her truck now.
She pays for nothing. I use it when I need it, screw that asshat and his $125/hr!

The truck runs GREAT BTW!!! 👍😎🤣

I do pretty much everything I can to "BREAK THE SYSTEM!!!"

I agree that the whole world pays unreasonable tariffs based on the will and whim of whoever the "king and queen" might be this year.

I'm tired of hearing about how its going to cost other countries or how the tariffs are somehow going to encourage America to become the new high tech, low cost suppilers to the world.
This isn't fixing ANYTHING.

Most of the tariffs dont actually go in to effect until tomorrow so I'm not sure how things are supposed to be fixed already. 🤔

thank goodness this is an rc forum and not a political one or id be ANOTHER watch list lol,
wish i could afford a few before the hike, but alas tis my lot in life to be poor.... (cause i spend hundreds a week on little trucks lololol)

Yes, the threats and pushes have been going on for months already though.
Half the planet is pissed off at us or the tariffs.

It has made purchasing my RC parts more difficult... already.

To be fair, how fast did you think it would work? I mean, it's only been a few days for some, a few weeks for others.
