Hello, so I'm getting my hands really dirty here. I started with my HPI 3.5 savage. Got a 4.6 Savage. Now I've got 2 Traxxas trucks. One has a smaller OS motor with the bump start. And the other has the 3.3 big block but everything else about it is custom and upgraded. Going to get at least one of them running today, if not both. Have to get a new servo for one. And tidy up a few things overall.

Correction, I don't have the 3.3 big block. I have an OS big block. The smaller motor is the 2.5 and has the bump start.

interesting what O.S. Big Block does it have on it? curious what chassis conversion it has as well.
definitely exciting getting new nitros, can't wait to see you get them going!

I take a picture of both. I'll post them when I get back home.

I wouldn't run the fuel you bought for your hpi engine it these engines. Os recommends 18% oil lube and that works fine in traxxas engines.

I don't have any fuel with that high of oil. I only have the sidewinder fuel and the new stuff I bought. Both are lower than that.

And your other problem is how to start them? I You say bump start which requires a starter box and batteries. The Traxxas engine should be ez start and the OS ? if it has a starter shaft Then the best option is to get some Sullivan tiger drive's and a starter wand and use a 20 volt 2 peed cordless drill.

Not so much getting them started. We did that before buying them. Just more of a once we get them going what parts are they going to need. I already know the 2018 servo is bad on one. I'm about to take some pictures and post them.

I hate starter boxes and pull starters on nitro.

Here are the pictures.

I like the bump box. It's new and seems to be a really cool idea. The pull start we will most likely change to roto start. Just easier and less work.

How are you bump start with box a T maxx? One has a ez start.

I call it a bump box. It's just what I thought it was at first.

Here are the remotes.

They both have some really strong compression already. Part of the reason I believe we will go to the roto start on the OS motor. After awhile it just kills your hand.

Just some cheap ones. You may want to consider a 2.4 computer radio and have just one transmitter and many receiver's. less transmitter batteries to buy.

interesting, not familiar with that big block kit, pretty cool the one already had the Robinson Racing Spur and slipper assembly on it, one of the first upgrades i would say after the servos though is to get a better pipe, plastic pipes muffle and dampen the exhaust pulses. with a correct tuned engine makes a very large difference.
i second the tiger drive as above, good quality starters, and no tracking down compatible starters on ebay if you can even find them.
interesting remote choice, if they work though.... why not. if you havent i would recommend considering finding a radio system and a few recievers that is programmable to be able to pair with all your trucks/cars, one controller for multiple rigs is really nice.
definitely looking forward to seeing these come to life.
