I've got an Acme Condor with .15 engine. I'm trying to tune & adjust the engine/idle speed (only has one adjustment needle & idle screw).

I think the throttle linkage needs adjusting, but I can only seem to adjust it to idle correctly or open full throttle. It doesn't seem to have enough travel from fully opened to fully closed. When I adjust, then accelerate/brake, the servo seems to push the carb back open slightly so it idles fast.

I've attached a photo of the linkage & carb. Any help/advice/guides would be greatly appreciated.

in this position the servo is in neutral? make your servo linkage "+" not "x" when you are looking at the photo. Cause the way you set the rod just moving side ways not traveling as push and pull .

It was actually set in the + position but I adjusted it in an attempt to get more movement in the linkage.

Once back in the correct position, what's the best way to go about resetting all the linkages?

return it to the + position then adjust the stoppers of the linkage. Try to move the stoppers back and fort until you've got the correct adjustment

First thing I would do is get a new airfilter foam, the one in the pic you posted is way past its useful life.

A bad/overused airfilter like that will give no end of probblems when at or near idle.
