Trying to remove Engine Head, ball head alan broke and is stuck in set screw..

what happened there... as it looks, is that it very slightly stripped the allen head in one direction, just twist it the other direction and it should come out.

neither the screw or allen was stripped... Thats why it is so tough to get out. It is a very good fit in there.

What brand? MIP makes a really good one. see if it has much wear, if it's a regular allen head, then grind it down a bit to give it a fresh tip.

it was an offbrand that I bought at a local hardware store. It is called ToolShop. It was like $2 for a set of ball end allens.

I have tried loosening the end of the allan, but it wont budge. What are my other options as far as ruining the screw, and then replacing it? Thanks

Dental tools and lubrication.
Pick at it and lightly tap on it. It'll come loose eventually.
