Take the glow plug out of the motor. Hook the blue ezstart wire up. Put the plug on the cooling head. It's still a circuit, just on top of the fins instead of in the hole. Without touching the plug hit the starter. It should glow orange in the bottom coils.I bought genuine Traxxas plugs specifically for the TRX 3.3. Chubaka, what do you mean by lay the plug on the cooling head?
Use the glow plug wire. Wrap the wire around the connector after unplugged.Ok got it, I will check with that. if it still won't light is there a way to make a DIY glow plug igniter?
If you have a detachable glow plug wire like this below.what do you mean by wrap the wire around the connector after unplugged?
You put the glow plug wire on the center of the plug. That side gets connected to positive. Take a piece of wire, strip the end and wrap the bare wire around the outside of the glow plug, attach that end to negative and you should get a good glow plug to glow, bad will not glow.
I just texted them with a homemade glow igniter and they lit right up! I'm going to figure out a betyervwayBuy new plugs. Take them oit of the pack wnd test them. See if your test is faulty or if its the glow plugs.
Its not totally incredible that your plugs burned out if there was no fuel and power heating them for a long period of time.
I almost got it started, I smell nitro exhaust so it's getting there, how can I tell my glow plug harness is all the way on?Ok. One thing out of the way.
This might be helpful to get you thru some basic testing in the future.Just for the sake of those that need it and don't know it...
Welcome to learn your multimeter 101
Probes: If your probes look like they are all plastic, then they have plastic caps covering the metal probes, and they have to be removed. (They just pull off)
