thankfully there's no chunks in the fuel, just is very discolored. should I replace the seals because this is a very new engine, it was ran for like 2 hours and wasn't used for a few years. and this is fresh fuel from the hobby shop

If the engine is newer, you might be ok. Again, its cheap insurance to have this stuff anyways but before you go there, I also think the OS 11c (?) Carb was a very common and popular swap with performance and ease of start bennefits. @Chubaka is this the right info I'm giving on the carb?
Curious what brand and type of fuel you have also.

I'm just using the Traxxas 20% pre mixed nitro fuel

I had pretty good luck with my ez start but lots of ppl had problems with them. Your issues could be there too.
How is the battery that you are using for the ez start system? What type and size (mah) is it? New? Fully charged? DEF verify that molex battery glug is good, clean and tight in the ez start wand.
Have verified power to your glowplug using the current ez start system?
The contacts on your buggy and the contacts out of the wand are likely culprits too. Double and triple check those too.

Traxxas fuel isn't the best stuff out there if I'm honest but it should get this thing started too.

I've cleaned the connections with isopropyl alcohol multiple times and I'm using two lipos at storage voltage to match the nimh battery that was in it

Have you actually used a multimeter to check though? Clean IS good but the juice still needs to get thru those pins. The contacts tend to open over time, use, abuse.
I am honestly not sure if you are good to expect a usable current and voltage out of run down lipos. I understand exactly your reasoning though. Testing that is imperative!
Multimeters can be bought cheap ( or expensive) and are 100% a necessary part of any good rc toolbox.
Nicads are CHEAP if you just want to use one here too.

I just checked the glow plug wire, it's reading 1.5V constantly. but with a glow plug in the wire nothing is happening... could it be faulty plugs?

O.s. 11k for the .18tz and .21tm

Do you also have a good ground going to your plug when you're testing?
If so, yes, you could have a faulty/failed plug.

Thank you sir!!! 👍😎😁

You're welcome. I plan on getting one in the jato eventually. I need battery and fuel on payday other wise it'll have a nice carb but no juice.

Ground should be fine... how do I check for a ground? and these are brand new glow plugs so why would the be faulty

Try another and see if you get different results. Otherwise, use a multimeter to check.
You can sort of cheat by screwing the plug back into the head and testing. If its not getting warm/hot, its dead.
Not a substitute for actual testing with a meter. Please do this.

I've tried a different glow plug, both are brand new and neither work. how do you want me to test with the multimeter?

I checked with the positive prong inside the glow plug harness where the glow plug connects. and the negative prong touching the head and I measure 1.4V-1.5V consitently

I'm literally so confused why this glow plug won't light, I've tried all sorts of tricks. the harness is fine as well!!

Take it out, lay it on the cooling head and hit the button. It should glow orange. If it does then look elsewhere for a solution.

What brand did you buy?
