Traxxas Slayer 4x4 pro

Update: I was @ my local Hobbytown USA... & just walking around the R/C section I took notice alot of the part's that stock are for Slash's / Rustlers / Savages / Maxx 3.3 /
& a ton of brushless stuff...
So talking with the guy I said I just orderd a Slayer pro 4x4 from tower hobbies... I asked what thay stock for a Slayer the guy told me I wont get any Slayer parts hear thay do not STOCK anything for a SLAYER & if thay did get parts I'd have to pay for them upfront for the cost of parts & shipping fee's.... I really dident know what to say back to the guy... So I asked the guy just out of of thought what would a SLAYER costed me hear the guy went over to a book on a counter comes back & tell's me 488.00 pluss tax I almost fell over I said to the guy I got my SLAYER from TOWERHobbies for $429.00 with shipping charges waived..... I said to the guy that's a heck for a markup he said it's because we dont stock it... but still $488.00 come on...

Generally your going to get a rtr truck cheaper online you pay for the convenience of not having to wait for it to come in at the hobby shop and if you buy it from them they are more likely to help you anyway they can. But them not stocking parts isnt a big deal just get your parts online ebay has tons of parts amazon has some those are my go to places for first look. Then i usually check tower or a main if i can't find it on ebay or amazon.

Yep you wont find many parts for it in stores, you will be shopping online.

Generally as long as you make an order online in the morning you can expect to see your parts in about 3 or 4 days sometimes less depending on where the seller is located.

I was looking on Tower Hobbies "this Morning" & thay got lot's of stuff IN STOCK for a slayer... I like this alot.... I have no issues with Ebay but i'd just rather just buy from Tower Hobbies I got in there Super Saver Club for a year where any order over $75.00 is free shipping witch wont be hard for me to obtain since I will be putting in a STOCK-UP order in June I need Nitro Fuel / Glow Plug's / going to get some upgraded parts for the Slayer wile I am @ it too.... Ohh Yes not to metion I need all 3 Drive belts for my 4-tec my LHS dident even have the Belts in stock for a 4-tech...

I do agree with you Childresshunt: A guy asked for RPM Shock Towers for a Slash thay told him ther out of Stock on them... Thay did not even have the Stock Shock towers in Stock either.... The guy was rather alittle hot about how the LHS did not even have stock parts in stock....

It happens. Every lhs is different and try to carry their most demanding items, or it may just plain suck and ran by idiots lol... my lhs is stacked with traxxas and AE parts, others are special order.

Be sure and put stiffer springs on it, especially in the back. Stock are wayyyy too soft for it. Raced mine today, shredded the spur gear

i thought the slayer would be way more popular especially in the states
i had to do a ring around on friday for a slayer gear case and not 1 shop in this state carries slayer parts,one shop had 1 for sale......$850!!! no wonder he can't sell it
i was lucky to find that my prefed lhs had stripped their only slayer down for parts coz they were thying to sell it for nearly 2 years

Yeah, my lhs has a wall of traxxas parts. Very well stocked. They also have a very nice track right out the back door. It's about 20 miles from my house.
It's called "The Boneyard" . We have an event coming up called the june jam.
We're just beginning to show races on "LiveRc.com"

It's called "The Boneyard" . We have an event coming up called the june jam.

That's awesome. My local track is 5 miles away, they also have a nice shop and he's building a full size indoor track soon I hear. He even has a machine shop and makes custom parts, I'm lucky as hell lol. Races twice a week even.

Oh that's bad ass, I wish I did something that I could apply to rc. I'm in the IT field, and do woodworking as a hobby. Yeah that really helps me lol.

Update : Got my Slayer all Broken-In... "8 Tanks worth" I Love this Rig & 1 of my favorites to bash with my bashing buddy said he even like's my slayer & is bit disappointed my SLAYER Pro 4x4 is bigger than his Slash 4x4... LOL I think my Slayer will be a beast once the Shocks & Revo type Suspension loosen up a bit...I am also SAVING UP for another SLAYER Pro 4x4 I like my Slayer so much I want another one so far I got $105.00 saved my Next Slayer I want is MIKE Jenkin's #47 I already have Mark Jenkins #25 I want both the TRAXXAS Slayers....... & the 2 Speed Transmission is awesome as well.. I am only letting my Slayer hit 2nd gear for about 3-5 seconds so far because even thou I have the Engine Broken in I am still driving my Slayer @ about 1/2 - 3/4 throttle I want my 3.3 to break in a bit longer before I really turn the power loose... Man I can hardly help myself until I get the rest of the money up to order another SLAYER pro 4x4 My bashing buddy said I am Nut's getting the same Rig twice but I told him he should talk since he's got 7 Rigs of different brands...
