u wont need to go with a lipo I'm running a 7cell venom and it is great with that

but when u just waant it to be ridiculous then u will want a lipo

well knowing me ill probably try to put wings on it to see if it would fly lol.

how fast does yours go with that?

Mine did about 30 with the 7cell nimh, but i havent been able to hit top speed yet with a 3s lipo. Probably around 50-55

There isnt TOO Much of a gain with the brushless and 7cell batteries. But you get much longer runtimes.

another 5-10 minutes with the nimh, so like say 15-20 min. 45 minimum with the lipo. It also depends on what MAH you are using

i run a 5000nimh get a seriously long run time!!

RAN MINE IS THE MUD AND RAIN YESTERDAY!!! IT WAS SO MUCH MORE FUN!!!

Not to chime in late... but you guys are making it hard to wait for Christmas! LOL I have two that will be sitting under the tree this year. One for myself and one for my son. He is going to be so happy!... I hope! I am going to be running them stock with 4600 7 cell packs. I haven't decided yet wether to B/L with this or just beat it up stock.

how old is your son?

what is the drag brake ? is it when you let off the throttle and your truck slows down ?

My son is 7 years going on 30!

You are exactly right... drag brake is how fast your truck will slow down when you let off the throttle. Simply put of course.

Yea, its actually a very good thing to have, and be able adjust. + with the velenion as soon as you hit the brake on the remote, it just activates full break and locks up the wheel, giving you less control, and putting unwanted stress on your diff, and spur. The mamba setup is good because you can control the tension on the breaks as well as how you want the motor to decrease the speed.

is the brake on a third channel or is it trigger position? is reverse on a third channel ? is reverse just reverse polarity to the moter ? sorrt to ask too many but i need to be ready when my slash gets here in a few days:)
