Is it normal for the wheels on the slash to rub the inside of the she'll when turning or breaking?

It is normal, but for much improved handling, you should trim the front wells.

I enlarged the front wells by about a 1/2" all around and it drastically improved the handling during cornering.

Well the guys that run them on a track near where I live say they are strict on modifications on slashes. Not saying I'm going to become a famous racer but if I change anything that makes it different than what came out of the box would disqualify. I know that sounds picky

So does that mean they can't use any of the Proline bodies?

I'd trim the fenders and just keep it to yourself. If you get questioned say they wore down from all the tire rubbing. :D

I was standing close to a tight turn on the track the other day. 9 ot of 10 of the bodies would rub and cause a spin out or a hook. I dont see how trimming the body can be looked down on by the track. As RobMob mentioned, do you have to use the Stock Traxxas body? i would think not. If you can use another body then trimming the one you have is a given.

I took close to .5 inch off all four.

Well I figured something out. There are little white washers that come with the truck that you can put over the tab pegs that go into the holes of the shell. Put those under the shell. I put two stacked on the front pegs an one in the back. It works much better now. :D
