Is the only difference between the Traxxas Slash brushed and the brushless the motor? I know the battery is different but are all other components identical? If the only difference is motor & battery, is a $100 difference in price worth it?

I'd assume the drivetrain is different between the two as well. A lot more toque and power on brushless setups so usually the driveshafts, differentials, spur gear etc is a lot stronger. I would imagine you could just look up the schematics for both and compare yourself.

Velineon motor, VXL-3s ESC, TQi radio (instead of the TQ), TSM receiver (built-in gyro that countersteers), stronger rear driveshafts (still plastic though), and bellcranks with an integrated servo saver (same as one on 4x4; 2wd brushed has servo saver and bellcranks as seperate units).
