Vxl3s system installed, slash 4x4 diffs installed. Waiting on traxxas center diff, aluminum driveshaft and rear input gear to really bash it👌 but it’s definitely better with the 3s system running 2s

I agree it’s better on 3s, you could have saved LOADS of money just getting anything other than a Traxxas motor combo though 🤷‍♂️
That is unless you had it in the parts bin….

Could’ve gone hobbywing max10 for cheaper probably but I purchased this combo off jennysrc during Black Friday sales and it was only $104 including shipping. So I don’t think I saved much more than I would’ve buying a new system elsewhere

I didn’t mean to sound like a horses behind.
I look forward to seeing the next installment on this
All is good! I get where you’re coming from, I appreciate it. Hopefully traxxas sends them out sooner than later. Said estimated shipping “early December” that has now switch to “mid December” so we shall see

Nice rig. Do you prefer the smaller scale size over bigger? I’m feeling the opposite where I want bigger.
Appreciate it, I made this purchase because I travel for work and wanna be able to put it in a backpack and go. I also got a Typhon grom 223s. The grom doesn’t have enough ground clearance for where and how I drive my rigs most of the time. I prefer bigger rigs, the 1/7-1/8 scale is the sweet spot in my opinion. I have two Kraton XLs, Truggified Typhon 6s, traxxas UDR, 1/6 losi super Baja Rey 2.0, traxxas XRT, and a Losi pro moto. So my collection is very versatile

That sounds like a superb collection. I’d like to reach that level one day.

I feel just as much enjoyment from small scale as I do from the large scale. As long as the terrain isn’t overpowering the little guys they can be just as much fun. That’s just my opinion. At the end of the day, they are all fun, just like fat girls. 😆

The mini's are tons of fun at the skatepark because they're cheap to fix and weigh nothing... My sledge costs $100 per crash at the skatepark. 😂

All RC sizes have their purpose and are fun in their own way. If you drive your 1/8 scale like a mini, you probably won't have a good time. If you drive your mini like an 1/8 scale, you won't get very far either.

Did you need to add anything to the Typhon to run the truggy tires?

Kraton hubs and axle stubs if you wanna widen it and put tires on it. I personally am running Mojave 6s arms and driveshafts, with Kraton hubs, and axle stubs to get even more width without going to wide

I appreciate it. I’m going to be selling my Typhon grom and Truggified Typhon as they don’t get used and I’d rather have the space for a rig that I will use
