my lhs owner has said that he plans to hold a crawler in his hand at the show this weekend in illinois and he also mentioned to me that another big player has one in the works he has inside info he use to do design and develop for various companies and race for them

There are quite a few of the big players that have crawlers in the works. I just hope traxxas releases a motor over axle setup in stead of a driveshaft setup. If not they'll just be releasing old technology in a world filled with new technology. I doubt it lol, but I can hope.

stock with portals, cvd's, mamba monster, 6s lipo, and spektrum radio equipment.

Shaft-driven is not 'old technology', it's just a different approach.

Just 'cause you're all up in making Berg rigs Mr. Moneybags :P

I think Traxxas, Axial and Kyosho all have new crawling rigs out some time soon, and there are a few others on the way too, so it could be any of them.

Since the Clods were some of the first to be converted in to crawlers I would have to say MOA may be older in the crawler world......(have to be devil's advocate:dancin:)

Yeap motor over axle is definitely not new technology. I was more trying to say that the 2.2 driveshaft rigs that replaced the 2.2 clod rigs for a short while, is better technology in my opinion, and I think the Axial setup currently is outdated.
