Well.. I bought my glowplug 2 days ago, installed it started it up and then put it away till yesterday.

I was out running hard (on road HPI RS4) and then all the sudden after maybey an hour.. it wouldnt start.. I took the glowplug out and sure enough its not glowing bright and its white.

I'm sure this has something to do with my inability to properly tune my engine.. I really just dont know how to get it right and what are the signs that I've got it right or wrong.

So.. is this a problem with my tuning? And can someone give me some links to help me tune it because I'm really clueless kinda.

Thanks, i dont want to keep buying glowplugs haha

i have a feeling that you are too lean on the high speed . do you got good smoke when you are driving?

I agree...too lean....set back to factory and tune by the hour.....meaning very slight adjustments.....when you think its right go back rich an hour.

Engine is a NitroStar 15fe
Temps, Not Sure No Temp Gun.. Pretty hott though, smoke coming off the block head.
And no long WOT runs..

Ok thanks thats what I thought since the glow plug coil turned white..

A crude way to check your temp without a temp gun is to spit a small drop of spit next to the glow plug. It should evaporate in about 5 seconds. 1-3 seconds too hot/lean, 4-6 is about right, and if it just sits there your too rich/too cold.
