Hey guys,

Well I am just remembering how much new glo plugs are and at the rate I am burning them out I need something cheeper than the regular OS #8. Well I was cruising Tower and saw the stock up sale. It seems that there is a tower hobbies brand of plug that you can buy. I think you can get like six of them for $15.00 basically. Newayz I was just thinking at my LHS for $4.00 a pop for the old O.S. this just might not be a bad way to go. Anyone use these???

You may have other issues if your blowing plugs that fast. I usually get about 1-1.5 gallons per plug before I change it. Normally it's working ok, but I don't like down time.

You running so lean your destroying them or what?

Yes I think this is the case. My picco tends to like to blow them. I am getting like 5 tanks max out of them. I need to get it tuned right.

Yeah, that's nuts man. To lean will blow your engine sooner than later. Pretty soon it's going to cost you more than a $6 plug.

What fuel percentages are you running? I just started a gallon of wild cat's eliminator. 20% nitro, 14% oil. Seems to give ok power. A little less than trinity MHP 20%, but it does have more oil in it. I was tired of my maxx landing on it's roof all the time anyway!

I dunno haven't really payed attention. I kinda was just pulling them out and replacing them. OK so I am going to richen my LSN and lean my HSN in hopes that does the trick. I have to find the happy medium with that thing trust me I need to.

I have used the Tower plugs for years with good results. I just started using others to see if there was a performance difference, none noticed. I do have one engine that likes to run too hot so I will try a colder plug in it.

I'm havin the same problem!! i blowin plugs like crazy. but i dont htink its lean because it shoots out a lot of smoke when u hit the gas. the plugs tend to be a little on the dark side when they go. u think its too rich on the bottom?
