Time for me to get a new parts/tool box, what are you guys using ? Include name/part #'s if ya can.. prob do some shoppingthis weekend.. seen a few tackle boxes, that look like they would hold some tools/parts and a radio.. but no room for tires.. - for 1/8 buggy use..

In the October 2003 issue of RC Car Action there is a section on page 136 about the must have tools. The author of the article mentions that most of the guys at RC Car Action use a Plano tackle box of some sort to hold their RC stuff.

Some RC company could make a fortune if they designed serveral different tool boxes for the RC hobby. I know I would buy one. Check your local Meijers or Menards. They should have several options for you. You will want a lot of compartments for different RC parts.

these are the 2 i was talking about.. i used to have one for my rc10gt, but i was dumb to give all that away for free a few years ago :censored:

I just updated the link:

I can fit a hobbico batery, glow igniter, glow plug wrench, buggy tire wrench, 4 onroad and 4 buggy tires, 4 pliers, 2-3 screw drivers, CA glue, afterun oil, extra air filters, filter oil, metric and SAE hex wrench sets in the bottom part and misc small peices and parts in the tray and the top compartments. And tons of zip ties just incase i ever bash with NA. LOL

I use a rubbermaid tool tub/bin thing with a handle in the middle. I store the parts for my rides in rubbermaid sweater boxes. Each ride has its own box or two.

I use a Craftsman rolling tool chest. Cost me like $20 bucks when I bought it. It holds three radios, two sets of MT trucks for Savage 21, a gallon of fuel, one 6 inch deep tray full of spare parts (all in compartmentalized little rubbermaid containers), and a two inch deep tray for my immediate running needs (glo ignitors, glo-plugs, tools, etc.)

The nice thing is it has huge wheels and a telescoping handle. Great for pulling around to where-ever the bash will be.

On top of that, I can bungy cord any one of my RCs to the top for easy movement.
