Today was pretty pathetic. As soon as one RC started running good it broke. Most of the pics today came from mistakes rather than success'. Let's see sky blew a spur gear on his savage. My roommate could not rebuyild his pull start on his storm nor would his t-maxx run right.

Saving the best for last, me. Where to start, hmmm. Well my inferno ran flawlessly until... Remember this if you forget anything about this: do not make another jump after your rc tells you she's about to run out of fuel. She died in mid air and ended up landing squarely on he butt from about a 10' height. I sheared the rear chassis support turnbuckle and put a major bend in the rear drive shaft.

My savage, there's another story. The only bad part about running a savage high, like mine, is that it puts undue stress on the turnbuckles. Add to the slready weakened turnbuckles and you have a potential for disaster. A few jumps added into the mix and the just fixed turnbuckle breaks. The just fixed again turnbuckle survived another bash session but the one that had not been replaced did not. At that point I decided to throw in the towel for running today.

On the brighter side of the house, my T-Maxx ran flawlessly, though one of my buddies from work was driving so the potential for the master of disaster to destroy it was not there.

Also learned the hard way, runaway maxx is a bad thing. Always make usre your radio Transmitter and Receiver is powered on before you start your t-maxx fires up and takes off. If you didn't turn the receiver on no matter what you try it will not stop until it either runs out of fuel ot has a close encounter with a stationary object. In this case it was a close encounter with a chain link fence. It was pretty cool watching my roommate chasing after his t-maxx as it took off at WOT.

Enough BS click on any of the pics below for larger versions. Enjoy.

4 Wheel Steering...

Large quiver of broken trucks, the red T-Maxx still is unbroken.

One of the pics of my drive shaft.

Another pic of my bent drive shaft.

One of the time my turnbuckle broke.

What would this be without another pic of me marking my turf.

John's runaway t-maxx where it had a close encounter with the fence.

You really bent that drive shaft. I was runing on the track today all i did was crash ang bend my manifold

man looks like u guys didnt have so good of a day. lol marking ur territory.

The day was cut short by Mother Nature. Pirata was kind enough to give me the one part I needed to repair my Savage, but the thunderstorm from hell moved through, blew down my canopy, and dropped more rain than most RCs like all over the place.

I can say that all of those out there that thought a 1/8 scale buggy would be enough to handle the Master of Disaster...WRONG! He ran one tank of fuel through it and the day was over. He did get some major air off of a pile of dirt no more than two feet tall, but he ended up turning a nice straight shaft into a boomerang.

Since he is hitting the road for a month, looks like I'll have some time to get things ready for the next bash.

o he is? where he going? anywayz sounds like it wasn't a good day all around. do u guys live back east. my dad lives in south carolina and when we were there, it was lightning and thunder the whole flipping time!!.

bryan

hey that sounds like fun. hope u have a fun time and get some pics for us.

I guess all the work I had today that prevented me from getting out to the track was a blessing in disguise. I had just gotten my Storm back together with all the bling bling Titanium and was so looking forward to running it today. But like Sky said, mother nature made things difficult (we're kind of in the same neck of the woods), and I had regular maintenance on my 'real' cars. Got a big vacation trip coming up next week. So, with all the damage, or should I say carnage that you guys had, I feel a little lucky. It sucks that I didn't run, but nothing got broke either. Sorry about your downtime guys. Great pics too !! You could pass that one of the savage off as having 4-wheel steering.

I'm looking into getting ti for my inferno perhaps a ti chassis and brace will help as well as ti shafts.

Maybe I'll have the first all ti inferno.

hey pirata, i was wondering do u have the stock motor in ur savage? i am really thinking of getting a savage and was woundering what that motor was like.

bryan

I love the engine. Sky bought a hyper for his savage and he seems to like it. I bought the virgin stock savage engine from him and put it in my t-maxx and it rocks.

EP, did you give Sky that spur I gave you? If you did, that spur has been around the horn.

As for breaking stuff, sounds like the buggy just can't handle you, I'd stick with the savage.

Also, a runaway is controllable if you have mastered "the force". Ya just have to concentrate. It's not the same as having the Rx turned on, but it's better than nothing.

Wish I had been w/ you guys, my weekend sucked. Closest I got to burning nitro was the few times I almost tripped on my truck in the house, that was when I was at my house, which wasn't much.

Nope, I bought 2 new ones the morning after I fried mine. I gave you one and the other was in my parts box until today when I gave it to Sky. My roommate doesn't like us heckling his mastry, or lack thereof, the force.

This sucks. I just realized that I bought 2 new spur gears for my savage and I have one I got used from you which I replaced and I willingly gave the other to Sky, he did offer to pay but I refused. Maybe the used one will be a lucky one, probably not but there's always hope.

Maybe it's a lucky token. It was on my first savge and lasted about 2 galons, then I replaced it, then I gave it to you, and it hasn't died yet (if it's still on your truck). That's one of the good ones. I still have the one you gave me in the unopened package, wanna trade it back?

Dude, I'll replace the spur when next we bash. That's a guarantee.
