I have an old Nitro Rustler and I want more power to the servos!!! I found a battery lying around that has Ni-MH 7.2V 1000mAh on the side of it!! I think they would be able to handle that, BUT I know nearly nothing about servos and batties. So could someone tell me if I will be shooting myself in the foot for putting that thing in there????:\

EVERYTHING IS STOCK:D:D

Yeah... I wouldn't. Most receivers and servos are only able to handle 4.8V-6V, not 7.2V. It might work for a little bit, but it may also let the magic smoke out of the receiver and servos (or otherwise burn them up and turn them into garbage).

You can do it, alot of pro racers run 7 volts. Just don't expect any warranty service!
I know quite a few pro buggy drivers who run lipos without regulators with no problems.

ALL HAIL the Magic Smoke!!

I haven't heard that in a few years. Back in school we'd over-drive small capacitors just so we could see the magic smoke. :hehe:
