Hello, I'm wondering if I should buy the new OS VZB or rebuild my (vo1b)? My vo1b is getting tiered. Any suggestions?

i like my VZB, I have it on my storm pro. I have about 3/4 of a gallon through it, I'm watching for any premature sleeve/piston ware occurs. I've seen it reported as a problem with the VZB.

other than that, it performs as well as my WS7II on my kanai3, at least on a short track.

Have you seen any premature ware on the sleeve or piston?

i've taken the exhaust manifold off any haven't noticed any discoloration of the piston, the engine seems to be running fine...but most p/s problems on this engine seem to happen around 2-3 gallons.

i'll post any problems i have, if the happen at all...

thanks

vzb

I have a vzb on my lightning pro 2 and it seems awesome.
I also have only about 3/4 of a gallon thru it-no noticable premature wear. never had a v01b though.

had a VZB wear out on me after 1.5 gallons.. sent it to get squeezed.. and still.. wore out faster.. got rid of it.. and got a RBWS7II

How long have you had your RBWS7II, and how does it compare to the VZB?:stick:

they are pretty comperable.. oth high RPM motors.. i didnt have the VZB very long..

How many gallons thru you RBWS7II, and any problems tunning or keeping tuned?:buggy1:

i am on my 2nd gallon on it.. and not 1 problem.. broke in with ease.. and runs fast as heck.. and holds a tune great.. i never have to turn the needle.. i broke it in.. got it set on the 7th tank.. and havent touched it since..

and it still has a pinch that i can hardly turn over out of the car.. if the motor is in the car.. i can not turn the flywheel with my finger..
unlike the VZB, which turned like it was on a bearing after 1.5 gallons

2 other guys I know have VZB's, and thiers are tight. Mine-not so tight! I only have a gallon thru it. Like its power, but think I'll try a RBWS7II if it dies,or more like WHEN IT DIES!!!!!!!!

lol. also another motor that is good is the P5.. i see alot of the guys using those.. but i like RB.. the WS7 is fast.. little boggy on the bottom end.. but i just put some harder springs in the clutch and that fixed that..
