Tmaxx exost

I have seen guys make the exost point down. It spits out the hole belo the exost. Does this effect then motor or anything. I want to do it because the exost coming out the side gets the truck all oily ang greasy

No offense but it's spelled exhaust. If the exhaust can point downwards you're still going to get oil on the chassis and the body because the wind and movement of the truck will make the oil come up. Yes it won't be messy but you'll still going to get oil on the truck. It won't have an effect on the engine or temps in my book because it's still being exhausted so to speak. Another solution would be to buy an exhaust deflector that gets fastened to the pipe and is made of silicone.
