TL XXXT upgrades?

Hey guys. i recently pulled my old Team Losi XXXT out of storage. everything is stock and works but i'd like to bring it up to speed without changing too much. First thing i would like to do is install a new 12T550 motor. I also wanted to upgrade the gearing. Do i need to use a spur gear that fits the old slipper clutch system? is there a retrofit that i can do using modern readily available parts? What gearing would be best for this car on short track racing? I want to stick with NIcd and Nimh batteries.

upgrade a 12t? that's no upgrade I raced xxxt for 10 years that's was no upgrade.. id replace T plate 1st then work my way up. shock rebuild then trans I always loved the DT trans as I'm a gear man hatted the balls...I got 3 from xxxt mf to dt with rpm arms.all are brushless dt is a 8.5 avenger.post some pics

Haha, yeah i know. i'm trying to get it faster without dumping money into it. i'll post some pics. everything is in great shape. its just bone stock

Got a 12T 550 in it now, modern ESC and a 23T pinion. significant upgrade in speed. I am looking for a spur gear replacement. are there any modern clutch systems that will fit the XXT without taking the gearbox apart or replacing it?

wondering if anyone here would be able to get me dimensions for the servo posts, just bought a lot of rc's all not complete and all I need to complete my xxxt is servo posts but don't want to pay $25 for such a small piece I have access to a 3d printer and want to just print them thats why I need all the dimensions thanks
