For what use will you be using this chassis? Indoors, outdoors, racing, bashing, both?

For the track I would use foams. 26mm front and 30mm in the rear. I think you have to get some sort of spacer for the 30mm rears on the rs4's. But rubber wearing down in 20min its rediculous. I think you heard wrong. Rubbers should be fine for bashing.

parkinglot

i just plan to mess around in parking lots and on my street b/c theres no tracks around where i live. i was thinking mabye runnin some super radial super compound tires.. but I'm not sure.

<<<aka noob, thanks.

I had a RS4 3 Type SS with the .12. Even the .12 wore down the stock tires pretty fast. I switched to HPI Super Radial tires and the were great. I got much better traction and they lasted MUCH longer. I only ran on the street and parking lots.

20 minutes... nah I drove mine for about 50 minutes and they stil look new. i drove it up and down the street, so it didn't have much to wear down the tires, but thats pretty much the same as running in a parkinglot. Some tires last longer then others. The TC3 stock rubbers wore down on me in about 15 minutes and they were terrible in the first place. So if your stock tires wear down fast, its fine. I have yet to try foams, but I'm getting them when nitro racing starts up again in may.

Hi,

The stock tires are fine (and free!). I don't know exactly how long they last (really depends on driving style, settings, mill, etc.). After wearing those out, I'd go with either some pro-compound radials (durability over grip = general bashing), some belted slicks (grip over durability = maybe 1 day at the track), or foams (great for grip & setting up your car = again, maybe a full day at the track). try em all once, then stick with the ones you like best.
