No.
If you are running the car, not a shelf queen, aluminum suspension parts are just goung to force the damage furthet into your chassis on impacts.
Aluminum bends and does not bend back. Plastic flexes and gives. Its the wise choice.
Not sure if RPM makes a set to fit your car.
Those arms are even more flexy, bendy and durable than stock.![]()
As everyone above has said, NO, just NO for aluminium arms..!!Are their any good aftermarket aluminum suspension arms for the Traxxas ford fiesta
A slow car that never crashes will beat 'the fastest car to hit every wall' EVERY TIME!!!I keep a good supply of arms for my Slash and Slash/Rally. Got the routine down to change them out in well under 5 minutes. Keep extra screws in my toolkit too as I usually lose the lower shock mount fastener in the process. I also carry along 3 extra 10 ft sections of lightweight corrugated drainpipe to lay down in front of the concrete curbs on the tightest corners of our track layout which helps a lot.
Agree that the aluminum arms just move the potential breakage to more expensive and difficult to remove parts like differential housings which happened to me one time even with flexy arms.
Mainly learning to drive more accurately will lower the breakage rate! My old eyes have a problem with depth perception on the far away corners LOL,
I like your style of thinking.I think you have to let everyone at least experience the thrill of having aluminium parts and then the disappointment as they bend on first impact, destroying all components they touch. It should be a right of passage for the hobby hahaha
I have an awesome Tamiya full of bling aluminum parts, it has never had a battery connected but looks awesome on my shelf.
That is so true LOL. I was trying out my Losi Sprint for the first time this last weekend on our paved circuit. running mid pack speed but "won" two heats because the fastest cars (3P(correction 3S) Slashes) all crashed. Just kept trucking and super fun to drive smooth and steady, did not hit a single cone or curb for the first time.A slow car that never crashes will beat 'the fastest car to hit every wall' EVERY TIME!!!
A racer certainly can't win if they're on the roof waiting for the turn marshall to be set right again.
Not crashing is the fastest way to a win and to less breakage!!! (the corrugated pipe prob helps too!)![]()
It took me a long time to understand 'slow and steady wins the race'.That is so true LOL.
