Throttle Linkage glitching

This just started today on my LST2. When the transmitter and receiver are both on my throttle and brake linkage both glitch back and forth. What causes this? Is it still safe to run my truck as is? The servos are Jr Z270's. All stock. The radio and receiver are spektrum srm3001t and 3dxs.

You will want to fix the glitch first, check your antenna wire first.

Also check the battery for charge.

If those check out, try rebinding your transmitter to your receiver.

Is it only your throttle servo that's wandering or are the other servos doing it as well? If it's just the throttle servo, try plugging into a steering port to see if it still does it. If it does and the other servos aren't, then your servo is about dead. Those 270's are well known for failure.

Okay narrowed it down to only that one servo, so it is on its way out. Do I upgrade or stick with the same one? What causes these to die? ANything you can do preventitive wise to help?

i have the same problem, i have a typhoon xp redcat on-road rally car and it somtimes gets this glitch where it just hit the trottle on its own, and i dont have a reverse gear so its only my trottle but when its doing that and i press the break it just still does what it does and thats it, and it started happening more and more often, it was brand new of 4th of july,

Does the typhoon use the jr z270 servo as well? I am low on money right not so I thinking I might take a short cut. Since I am not using my reverse, technically I could unhook the linkage from the reverse and move that servo over to replace the dying one. Am I correct? I looked it over briefly and didn't see why it wouldn't work, but thought I would ask before I did it.

Yes, you can. Then you need to ziptie your reverse wire in forward so it doesn't flop into reverse on you and make a mess of your trans.

With money in mind, I'd save up enough to get at least a JR590M (like the stock steering servo) to replace it. Higher torque, metal geared, less likely to fail from brake fatigue than a weaker servo. Or pick up a JR Sport 126 which has the specs of the 650M, but is cheaper.

Or you can try to get a 590M on ebay cheaply. They sell for around $25+$5 shipping though, so you won't come out much ahead. Found a used one for $15+$8 shipping:

Yeah, these days, $50 will get you a decent servo. Sure, you can spend $300+ but you don't have to.

If you do what the 590M, Liquid RC has them and charges $1 for shipping. Their site is slow, but I haven't had a problem receiving purchases in the past.

i don't know, but i don't see why not, but then again i am freshly new to these toys, and i went to the store and they told me that i needed a new servo and i bought one for 50 bucks just put it in and will be getting ready to test it, by the way how long to the starter plug things last before they need recharging???
