i had jeff take a few pics while we were at the track racing this past sat. the MT ones are from 3rd qual heat, and the buggy ones are from after the racing was done and i felt like burnin another quart or so. the camo truck is mine and blue buggy is mine. black and pink truck belongs to ultegra. sorry no buggy main pics since jeff was busy either driving or wrenching on his buggy at that time.

Nice job CorradoPsi, and tell jeff good job on the camera job....BTW, what kind of car is your MT?

MT is a Hyper 7Pro converted with a JT Racing kit, buggy is an XB8.

Whoa that'll be a trek! Total Est. Time: 3 hours, 6 minutes Total Est. Distance: 180.45 miles Then again, the way sl0eg1n and I drive, we'd make it in 2hrs. Sl0eg1n and I did a weekend fishing trip up to Hyannis in Cape Cod last weekend. 260 miles door to door in about 4 hours est. Probably less if "Mario Buncrana" is with us.

Would be nice to have a Semi-local (NY/NJ/CT/PA)RCNT bash there for those of us that can't make the drive to Buffalo. What do you think? Is it "DOable?"

Let's see if we can put something together, sound good?

That's a nice track as well. I know where King of Prussia is. That would be nice as well.

I'm sure jim (owner) would be open to having a bash. do you want to just have everyone showup on a raceday (every sat), or something during the week? the hobby shop and track are both closed on sundays.

then you know you can bring the wives along and leave them at the mall for the day. that is, if your credit cards can stand the friction of constant swiping. that should even the score for a day trip of racing ;)

I now have weekends off. So a trip can be planned.

I really don't know. Lets put the word out and see what the crowd says. I think as the weather starts to cool down in the fall would be a good time since a lot of the guys with families go on vacation for the summer. We could make it like a "last hoorah" for the nitro season.

that would work out fine, i think the racing season ends there around sept iirc from last year. and after that, sat's are open for anyone who wants to use the track. if we kick jim a few buck each, we can also water the track all we like, and i might be able to talk him into firing up the transponder system.

That's what I figured about the racing season. Speaking of transponders, does his system take personal transponders?

As far as kicking a few dollars his way, I wouldn't have it any other way. Watering down the track ... well, abunch of grown men coming together to play AND have access to a water hose? That sounds like trouble :devious:

3 hours/180 miles? Around here that gets you from L.A. to the Cal/Nev border. Ya still got another hour to Vegas! A lot of people drive that twice ro more a month. I guess it helps to have those long flat stretches of highway to go 85 (any slower and the semis will run you over)!

I used to do that trip when I lived in the OC (Placentia to be exact). Nothing like taking I-10 all the way through. I think it was I-10, correct me if I'm wrong. Turning a cool 90+ on some stretched of road in a renter with a full tank of gas and lots of *ahem* water. That was back in 96. I left and never turned back. The east coast was always home for me.

pit stop does not take personal transponders, they are track owned, and powered by a lead off of your radio system. all you do is plug a double male extension into your 3rd channel on the reciever and the other end into the transponder. mount it someplace good, and your set. it has a body post to it, to make for easy clipping to a hole in the body, or a transponder mount like found on buggies.

Not a prob. Is that an older model of the AMB system? or a different system all together? The other transponders I'm used to are the rechargeable kind that you pull off the tray and mount either somewhere on your body or to a transponder mount on the chassis.

Diver, you lived close to my in-laws (Brea) and also near me (Tustin Ranch).

I wish I had a decent looking track, like this one pictured, near me. All the tracks are out in the hot and smoggy inland areas, like "The Dirt". One of the best area road tracks is in Compton. Yeah, come on down and get shot! They had two shootings there yesterday. Every other week a cop is shooting someone, or they find bodies in dumpsters or on fire. Yeah great, put and R/C track there. Great fun for the family. Get this, it is right next to a casino (card club is what the call). Yeah, guns, alcohol, gambling, just what they all need.
