Sweet looking rig!

I'm actually impressed being its a redcat!
redcats 5th scale line up is completly diffrent then their nitro's. i wouldnt touch a redcat nitro if you were throwing them at me! their 5th scale line is really grabbing some attention. even with big shot manufactorers like tgn,,ram-tech, python and so on. it has the same mill that comes in the hpi5b. even before my up-grades i bashed the snot out of it and only broke a few minor parts that should be expected. i also have a few fg's and am on my second 5b and i enjoy this rig the most. its a freakin tank

How does the stock steering servo hold up? Does it suffer from RTR-itis with underpowered servos?

I pondered picking one of these up but while I can justify to the wife unit a $4 part here and a $10 part there for nitro, the replacement parts costs on 1/5 scale can get ugly.

yes the stearing servo suffer from rtr-itis..lol just like hpi's.. and bro, i swear its cheaper to run and maintain large scales!! check out the cost of parts on the link below. gears are $12, shocks ar 60, arms are 15.. same as your nitro's. motors are cheaper too. and last 12 plus gallons and a rebuild is $50.00. i tend to do a little more upgrading as they do weigh 30+pounds..

Is it a 4wd? Are those thestock tires/wheels? Looks really sweet!
ya it 4wd. and those tires are stock.. and freakin huge!! you can put buggy tires or 5b tires on it and it kinda looks like a huge truggy. check out this video. keep in mind this is with the stock motor. so its a little slugish. the new top end cost $75 and is sickly insane!!

Cool vid, I love running in the snow. The whole time watching I kept seeing the jumps to the side thinking,"come on let's see some air!".

That truck really makes me want one.

Okay, that gave me my answer. I have seen these in person (MT and Buggy) but never seen one run. From the looks they look great, 4WD, lots of Aluminum, beautiful shocks, nice design. My LHS won't even carry the 5T, say its a rip off and I totally agree. I think I'll get this this summer. My LHS has them for just over $700.00.

Can you give me as much detail as you can, like i want to know about everything, anything that broke, any design features you don't like, problems you had, ETC, but also what you like. Pretty much a review on it.

if you want to buy a Rampage, get it here. www.rampagehopups.com

Rob (USABAJA) owns RAMTECH and Rampage hopups. his systems have a few upgrades already to improve durability and performance.

I dont agree with your hobby shop that the HPIs are over priced. not when you look at an FG Comp F1. the rollers are 3500.00 and you still need motor and elecs. so 800 for an RTR baja is CHEAP by comparrison.
