I have 2 MGTs, 1 Savage, and 1 Mayhem.
I am thinking about selling the lot for an LST2 and an 8ight.

Has anyone ever purged their whole collection and started over?

Many times. I have my two Storm Pro's, Two Revos (2.5 and a 3.3) and maybe something else. I will stick to that for now. I am not a racer so I need not all the high end things at this point.

If you get an 8ight, you should skip the LST2 and take the money and buy bunches and bunches of throttle servos and clutch parts.

Hey jet, I'm just curious, but I've seen you say that about the 8ight a few times, is there something wrong with it?

I've sold everything and started over before, its nice to get new rides.

Hey Tac whats done to your savage I'm interested in geting a savage and wanted know what youve done to yours. And what price your lookin to get.
Thanks Bryson

Well, I put a silver ribbed HPI pipe on it, a NewEra tank and tank guard, a pack from onlybatterypacks, a motorsaver airfilter, and I think that is it.
I still have the stock tank. There is nothing wrong with it. I was trying to get around the half tank leaning out problem. The NewEra tank setup is awesome, but it does not hold a lot of fuel. i think I have a fuel filter on it, too, but I am not sure. I have not looked at it in a while. The last time i drove it, my cousin stripped the spur gear. I run it with rpm titan rims with Losi zombies too.

I am no fan of the HPI .25 engine. It runs really hot, and I cannot find the "spot". But, it does run!! haha It ran a lot better when I pulled one of the 3 head shims out too. Actually, other than running really hot, it runs great. I pulled the sportwerks .26 out of my Mayhem and was planning to put it in my savage. I bought a pullstart for the sportwerks motor too.
This isn't the buy/sell/trade forum, but I will PM you my price.

Thanks

Yes, the 8ight has some issues.

I have done the whole "starting over" thing, it just becomes expensive.

I've seen several every time I have been at the track blow throttle servo's. I know a few people that have blown multiple throttle servo's before they said F it. If you access the grid, read the Losi thread there, it's about 1200 posts of people bitching about throttle servos and the clutch.

Not too odd once you see the layout and look at the overall design. Though I think if Losi went and changed things now they would be admitting there was a problem there and they don't want to eat poop over it.

A couple years ago I sold every Rc thing I owned, Except one plane that I had in pieces at the time, and started completely over. It was a good way to get refreshed on the hobby. A Tmaxx will do that to ya I guess..lol..

I've been tempted to sell it all... but after thinking about how much time I've spent upgrading and having fun with my savage, I just can't get rid of it. Even though I don't really drive it much anymore. I have a feeling I'll do the same with the mammoth. Although, the reason for not driving it is different. It's more suited for a track type environment that I don't have.

The poor revo gets the brunt of my punishments... too bad the other two trucks get the better equipment and end up on the shelf.

I've thought about dumping the savage and mammoth then saving up for a LST... I think it's the fat shocks that make me want it so bad.
