This car got bumped by another car on the highway, and slid into a stop sign backward.

This truck was hit by a fully loaded freight train.

That's why they outlawed early 1970s Chrysler Imperials from demolition derbies. They were literally built like tanks.

Very true...the metal in vehicles has gotten a bit thinner every year I think. Problem is a tank gets bad gas mileage...wanna getter better economy ya have to lighten 'em up.....sigh...and that is what they did

I don't know if it was that bad. I got about 6 mpg on my Abrams.

Had a '78 scout II, i could watch the pavement sink under the wheels. 345ci with three on the floor.. 65 mph and that engine was a-screamin.. lol. It passed everthing but gas stations

I still drive a "tank"... have to say though, the 1998 MGM vs the 2006 MGM is a different feel altogether. The 98 was much more floaty and felt more hefty in general. The 06 corners, accelerates and stops better, but doesn't feel as heavy. The 98 averaged about 22-23mpg and the 06 24-25mpg with me driving 120 miles a day.

2010 is the last year for the entire panther platform... such a sad year for me... No more Lincoln TC's, Mercury Grand Marquis's, Ford crown vics. Guess I'll have to get a damn 2 door sport car if I want an affordable v8 under the hood. Should be fun in the winter...

You could also get a 4-door pickup with a good V-8. The F-150 comes with the same v-8 as the Mustang 5.0, Olds.

Of all my heavy sleds, the '76 Lincoln MK IV, Cartier edition, was the winner, at 5,051 lbs. That was without a driver, tools in the trunk and dust in the wheel wells.
7 MPG, and 4 1/2 running the air conditioner.

460 big block with a 4 bbl. Gas station attendants knew me on a first name basis. :hehe:

Looking at the first picture it looks like the Semi truck was involved. And those look like stoplight poles in the background. Just saying...

The V-6 Mustang gets almost 31 mpg and has almost as much power as last year's 4.6 V-8, Olds.

I've been doing some car shopping for the last few weeks, and the one that impressed me the most was a fully loaded '05 Chrysler Sebring coupe. Leather and every imaginable option.
I currently have a 5.0 Tbird, and the Sebring has the 24 valve 6.
The response in that engine stunned me, and it still got 24/28.
