Thank you for your reply. Very important... I think is better maybe to enjoy like it is , but is difficult to don't make some changes. I want to put some grease in the gearbox, but I'm a bit worried. But in general is Amazing. Really great for the price.

Yea, some previous advice 9n the 3200 KV motor, or a better esc would probably be the best step. But all of that is just addressing the design flaw of too large of a pinion gear, overgearing the truck. So if you go too big I'd a tire, the cogging will get worse, because your effective ratio is way too tall. I had 64mm tires, but the cogging was so bad it was difficult to crawl. I went down to 60, with the stock motor, and it was much better.

Hi there. I'm new in this little guy ucx24 pro. How the thing is going after reduce the tire size? Is worth to change the motor to 1900?
I actually used the 3200Kv. A lot more torque than the 1212 motor it comes with.

It is possible to flip the transmission to face the motor to the rear and put the battery up front. The extended links and driveshaft for the fcx24 from Treal is a good modification. A good set of beadlock wheels will help a lot.

These things are so freaking sweet. I got the brushed, 2WS version. It's a blast. Stock motor handled these 58x24 Injoras on brass without breaking a sweat. Plenty of usable torque in low gear for crawling and chasing dogs through the grass, and high gear took off from a dig like it was no trouble.

My First 2-Speed. I didn't want to open it up. You let the magic smoke out when you open the gearbox. That said, I took it with me on the annual Moab 4-wheeling trip and we killed the motor with red dirt. We hadn't even done any real crawling with it yet, either. We were just having a blast ripping around camp, drifting and jumping into and out of a nearby wash when it just stopped. Confirmed power to the motor from ESC. Confirmed motor not bound.

New Injora 60T is even quicker. I'd say 20% faster? In both gears. We are officially in silent trail running territory.

These things are easier to work on when you don't shear the head off a bolt in one of the driveshafts. The math starts working against you in your head. I can't spend $30 on a new gearbox when the entire car costs $100. Yes you can, dude. Yes. You can.

2 hours to get the shifter linkage right? We'll see if I can beat your record. :clown: I'm about an hour into the job and got it close enough that I had both gears working, but I must be right on the edge of where spring tension in that little wire arm is keeping it from engaging 4L. I got a good 10 minutes switching back and forth between both gears in the driveway before 4L started kicking back out and grinding a bit. I can see the link bowing a bit.

Coming soon to a UCX24 near you! Lol.
  • DIY metal body paneling. (The missing panel in the above shot slipped out of my fingers and right between the deck boards on the back porch. I'm neither cutting my floor nor spending $30 on a replacement body for a $100 truck (which might need a $30 powertrain replacement).
  • Injora 40mm shocks. @TeknoJ thank you for putting real numbers on the OMFGRUKIDDINGME situation with that mounting hardware. I looked into reamers like you guys were talking, but bought a 16-pack of 2mm drill bits for $10. So much for Safety Squinting. I'll need my readers!
  • MOAR LIGHTS. I got a disease! And the only prescription... is more LEDs! I've got 4x single LED pods and am ordering a couple whips.
Preguntas!
  1. What am I looking for in terms of suspension links? Thinking metal to harden the chassis and drop CG a bit.
  2. Same vein; metal driveshafts look legit, too. Do I drill my sheared driveshaft screw or grab a spare everything?
Thank you!
