No plastic here.

The pinion is 16t about 7mm od
It’s hard for me to measure the diameter
30t 13mm spur
Zero motor adjustment
That would be a .4 mod gearset.

That's the biggest problem with mini crawlers, there isn't much room to move things around. Looks like you found a good spot. No tension on any of the wires or connectors?

No, there is plenty of slack, but I will have to be strategic where I zip tie them to the cage. These micro PH connectors for the lighting are a pain to remove all the time. I try to avoid removing them, if possible, which makes it hard to work on.

Now that I know the pitch of the gearing, I believe the only way to slow down the speed and get better crawling or drag brake would be a similar size motor with less Kv. This 1212 is a 3500 Kv, the Nano Bam from MOFO is similar in size, shares the same 12mm mounting pattern, and is available in 1900 Kv. They offer a 16t mod.4 pinion gear on the Nano Bam intended for the FMS 1/24 and fcx18's.
Although the FCX18 from FMS and this share the same Trans mount/skid (they look close!) the transmission and brushed motor assembly from the FMS would not work due to motor location on the side. The brushless version could perhaps work since it faces rear. I might have to buy some parts and make a mutt outta this one.

I found the transmission this uses. It is most definitely from the fc24M. Mod.4 gears, 16t pinion and probably not adjustable.
Thats one heck of a deal for a 180 motor, micro servo, and an entire transmission with driveshaft stubs on it.
One could build something really fun out of parts from an FMS.

Hmm. Wonder if the FCX24 stuff will fit in it.

They look identical. The FCX24M has a centered motor like the UCX24, the FCX24 has an off centered motor that would probably interfere with the cage on this one. Same funky round skid plate and 20mm x 10mm mounting footprint.
The straight axles from FMS look very similar but have different knuckles and different steering link mounts.
I have spent the better part of today looking into this. This stuff looks closely related!

So if that is the case, Furitek makes stuff for it.
