I'm not good with tuning my Duratraxx Raze. would anyone happen to know how to perfectly tune it? so it doesn't overheat? I won't be racing it but I will be running it hard at my sandpits here. racing my brother once in awhile and whoever else comes. for the guys who just come and shoot poop I'd like to blow their cars away.

Please help me on my road to jelousy! haha

Thank you very kindly guys!!!

What do you mean what is in it? It's stock. if that is what you're asking?

I don't have money for a new engine.

Well I do. but I don't have the experience... so I think I'll just wear motor this out learn from mistakes and take it from there :)

haha

Ah I see haha yeah I was like mill = Million. Million = more money out of my pocket?

but then again I was thinking mill would mean like. tower hobbies or something lol

The engine is a 4.4cc G-27CX Super Tigre Racing Engine. sounds fast? but it's stock I doubt it's a real looker haha

I got a metal streering servo today but I have no idea how to put it in so I'm goign to haggle my local hobby shop to do it for me lol

Thanks!

dude its really simple to replace a servo and you will never learn getting your lhs to do it for you.;)

eah I got it, it was more then simple lol

I got another problem now.

The thine won't start, it ran great and all now it just won't start I reset all the tuning to factory then tried to go from there and nothing I made sure it wasn't flooded and poop it won't start

I drained all the fuel. redid all that.

The glow started doesn't seem to be getting hot like it did before.

I changed the battery...still nothing.

What can I do?! lol

I take that back I cleaned the crap out of EVERYTHING. inside under the glowplug where the piston is. the carb. underneath the carb.
I might have had to much oil in it.... lol

but. the thing is now - tuning it. when I hold throttle it starts when I let go it shuts off. when I start without throttle I get nothing I tried setting the low speed valve to factory - bring out/in to flush then in a half turn and go 1/16th a turn until where it idles perfect. I went ALL the way in at 1/16th intervals and same with out. can't get it. I set the high speed to 4 and half turns out and turned that to 1/12 a turn each time and STILL nothing

Note- that took about 3 hours to do. lol

suggestions...please...?

raise the idle, theres a screw on the carb other than the needles, open the carb with the remote and turn that screw 1/4 turn and see if it will start & run.

might need to change the glow plug also, nitros eat threw glow plugs until broke in and tuned properly.

Man, I wish I could spend 3 hours tuning and runing mine. I would be racing for sure :D

what fuel are you using? what GP? the higher the nitro the cooler the plug. lower nitro hotter the plug. I just had this issue.

I tuned one of those buggies for a friend, right out of the box the LSN was WAY too lean, i richened it up a half turn and it started to purr. There are not the greatest engines but they can be made to run good.

I switch the LSN from flush, in a half turn. then 1/16th turns from there I can't get it started unless I hold the throttle open.

Even when I flush it and turn it out 1/16th about 5 times (tryign to start it every 1/16th turn)

I don't get it... taking it to my LHS right now to see...

I got it. it was the glow plug...somehow it went in cross threaded and it THRASHED my old plug lol it runs great now. I hit a curb going max speed it flipped and did like 90 spines. I broke the wheel hub.... *calls up tower hobbies for replacements* lol

it sounds like you may be all over the map with the engine which is a sure fire way to set it so far away from a good tune. Start at factory again and follow the instructions in this link. It should help. Tuning these things isn't an exact science because each engine is going to settle into it's own comfort zone. Hope the info in this link helps...
