I installed a relay system, when i hit the big red button, it goes to FWO! :D

Well, maybe i didn't, but somedays it seems that way.

Hey man,

It's all relative of course. Stell is going to be the most durable and bombproof in the long run but Alluminum is hella stronger then the stock plastic that you've already melted...lol. If UE is running assloads of power in the long term through their Alluminum gears with RB Concepts engines then I'd say that alluminum is plenty strong...lol.

Phucking Eddy....now you mention the RRP slipper for E-maxx after I order the standard RRP slipper kit:opps:

Peace

I use the Alum. gears and havent had any issues with them, they still look brand new after a season. Sure the steel is stronger but the weight just wasn't to my liking.

30%,
The t-slipper makes a good backup.
Did you get the plactic or metal spur setup?

Evening Eddy,

Great to here that your ALLuminum gears can handle the mean power your putting through them. I got RRP FOC in ALluminum and the Primary from UE in ALluminum. ALL that for a SIrio .18 but at least I wont roast the tranny when I run a 16T CB...lol. I've also decided to run the Stock slider front and rear and the UE Titanium center drive.

I got the 72 Plastic slipper setup as I don't wanna run metal Spurs personally. If I was a racer I'd be down for it though.

WHat kind of clutch do you reco Eddy as that's the only thing left to buy.

Peace

I use the MIP.

I like the ability to adjust it according to the track and surface I'm running on. Quite honestly I'm not much of a clutch guy, Beyond feeling the difference in the tuning holes I can't tell the difference from one brand to another.

I do know that some of the racers use the alum ones but they grab way to hard for me. Someone else may be better suited to help you here.

Thats the same one I listed in the link above except your missing something. This clutch has 4 settings. Fast or slow depending what hole you use but also leading or trailing.

There are a couple of options that I'm aware of;

The Fioroni 54t spur that fits the small slipper plate. It will allow the use of the buggy clutch bells. Then you will get to use the 3 and 4 shoe clutch setups.

Then there is the turbo sliding clutch, but you may want to talk to someone other than I about that one.

The mip setup that Eddy is reffering to will work just as well for the .18 application.

Aluminum tranny gears will work just fine.

thanks eddy i totaly spaced leading and trailing my bad I'm realy glad i joined I've gotten more help in three days then i ever could have at the hobby store i work at thanks everyone

Hey man,

Yeah...it's nice to get a ton of collective opinions from a web-site as opposed to one or even three Hobby stores biased ones....lmao. You can be the smartest mother phucker on the planet but you still need to learn..eh.

Peace

Being a mod has its good points and bad points.
One of the good points is having to read all the threads. Some of the crap-ola sticks in my brain and some is just absorbed by osmosis. Combine this with with a wee bit of real word experience and almost half a brain and you get someone like me that who can lie like a sombitch and make it sound good.

Did I also mention the the bad part of being a mod is having to read all the threads?

The popularity of forums is a great thing. There are many people out there that do things differently. The best thing to do is read than think. Just because someone says, or recommends something don't take it as gods word. Its just a great place to start researching so you can form you own opinions.

I always encourage RCNT forum users to visit other sites and to get other views. We can do that here because we know you will come back. Its rare that users from this site pack up and move to another forum. Knowledge is invaluable so is an astute group to share it with.

I'm the last few months We have noticed several experienced users come to this forum and we welcome you with open arms. Please don't be afraid to share your knowledge with others.

The more you learn the more you know.

The more you know the more you forget. :\

The more you forget the less you know.

So why learn?
