Yeah, I hate that. RC models of classis cars should be RWD. The manufacturers can offer FWD and or AWD as an upgrade option.

It's 1 my greatest sources of anxiety in this hobby....someday, someone will be classy enough to make 1 of my favorite cars of all time in a kit or rtr and it will be awd....and I will have to buy it anyway...luckily we are not there yet.

todays another one of those days where I'm stuck doing stuff that only i can do (so far running the CNC). and while I'm doing that the boss is just starting new jobs, starting new jobs, starting new jobs, and its piling up cause i have to finish all that as well. god forbid he finishes what he starts while I'm already busy AF.

and to cap it all off, he stayed at least a good 3 hours late yesterday, so when i walked in the door this morning i was already underwater. (no joke, there was probably a solid 5 hours worth of work waiting for me)

it would help if the boss would slow the F down. we have a 3 to 5 day lead time. not everything is a rush job that has to be overnighted. we're not going to lose the shop because someone had to wait 24 hours.

and as i type this, he's starting/piling on an encapsulation job for stock. guess who has to deal with that. and iv already got one in the staging lanes

If you can't tell me what I owe you within 30 days of services being rendered--you shouldn't be paid for those services. Or course, as we all know, the US healthcare system is designed around maximizing share prices so billionaires can keep using stock as collateral for the untaxed loans they use to fund their lavish lifestyles, so why would any of us expect any real concern about positive outcomes?

My sister broke her lower back in the 90s in an ATV accident. US doctors said the only remedy for the constant pain after so many years was fusing vertebra. For $15k, she and my brother spent a week at a stem cell resort in Acapulco, Mexico--covered everything but airfare. Within 18 months, she was back on the golf course and considering teaching Tae Kwon Do again.

Yup. Judging by watching 90% of the YouTubers, they don't understand that you can modulate the throttle... they just continually blip it on and off like a switch; 0% or 100%. Pet peeve of mine.

finished my workday by spending an hour and a half making a custom brush board for an obsolete motor. on the 7th design/cut i finally got the mounting holes in the right location. so i get to fully cut a prototype in the morning. so first thing tomorrow morning, fiberglass!

But they're not doing it right! I must admit, when I watch vids, the all or none throttle control drives me nuts too, especially when it's rapid fire like a kid amped up on sugar with a playstation controller.

No, I'm one of those people who dont feel the need to criticize other people for doing what they want as long as it doesn't adversely affect me. Seems pointless. To each their own I guess.

How do you make someone super uneasy when they're RCing?
Say nothing. Approach. Get insanely close. Like. Within two feet of a stranger. Get in-between them and their gear. Linger awkwardly at about 50 yards out. Stand on the track in the center of the nicest section. Linger about.

And the best questions, like "How fast does it go??"

That was the most uncomfortable interaction with a stranger RCing I have ever had. I have been approached around midnight in a bad neighborhood, that was what you would expect.

But this. Broad daylight, in a rural area.

I thought maybe I was in the next Jordan Peele movie.

Good for you. My post just conveys an opinion, a pet peeve, in a thread that's about rants. I put a laugh emoji in my second post; I guess I should have put one in the initial one as well.

I feel the same way about other people being free to do whatever they want if it isn't causing problems for others. That doesn't mean I have to agree with them, not have an opinion, or even poke a little fun at them.
