The energy and resources needed to mine lithium FAR surpasses fuel production. Not to mention the costs to the environment. I saw a guy explaining all this and it was ridiculous how much worse electric cars are on the environment in the end.

They found a resource they can make trillions off of, and that is the only reason they are pushing it.
This is 10000% correct.

Yet another ruined classic

my rant today is that I'm surprised no one here wants my nascar lol
I would but I don't have a prepped track and my cars need to turn right also. 🤣🫠

Good luck with the sale.

Or, hear me out, it's like the car companies are being hamstrung by all the government regulations and mandates.
don't get me started. I'm already in a disgruntled mood. woke up with a headache and a stiff neck. i start to go off, especially on the government, and its going to be a super volcano end of days situation.

I'm in california, i probably know it better than anyone. hell i can't put a cold air intake on my truck unless it's "CARB approved" (california air resource board). if i have a non CARB approved intake on there it'll fail smog just because its on there (visual inspection) if i get pulled over and the cop thinks my truck is modified he can inspect it, if i don't let him inspect it he can and probably will impound it. if he see's that i have a non CARB approved intake i get a ticket at best or get put in state ref at worst. if it gets state reffed i have to convert the entire vehicle (not just the modified/offending parts) back to factory stock/OEM and have it inspected. can't drive it on the road until it passes inspection. in some cases i can't even sell it until it passes inspection.

made even more fun by LA county and the 4 surrounding county's having something referred to as the "street race task force" which is supposed to help combat street racing and street takeovers. but isn't. so we have an entire taskforce looking for modified vehicles at 5 in the afternoon, you know, during prime street racing hours  its basically a way to harass anyone with a modified car. if you so much as have aftermarket wheels you can be pulled over and have your car inspected. never mind that street racers don't come out until pushing midnight and in unpopulated area's. and street takeovers typically don't happen until after 9pm and typically use stock vehicles.

then we also have to deal with CARB now going after classic car owners. put an LS in your 57 Chevy. yeah, they'll come after you and make you smog it every 2 years like a new car. so you'll have to have all the emissions equipment associated with that LS on your 57 Chevy or you'll fail the smog test and won't be able to register the car. needless to say people are starting to leave hoods down at car shows :hehe:

meanwhile i live next to an airport full of small privately owned aircraft that largely get flown for recreation, that burns leaded fuel. and it's all largely unregulated.

I vote burn the rest down before it spreads to other states. That's horse chit. And yet the government vehicles are exempt and the military has no emissions. Bullying and greed pure and simple.

And then you have people driving around in Demons, Vettes, supercars, etc.

They get a celebrity waiver. 🤣
Yeah, I know damn good and well there are people there driving around with heavily modified cars.

I've been saying that for years!!! Any idea how much BS you get for riding a Harley that blows 4" flames out of stock length exhaust??? 🤣🤣🤣
These asshats flying 50' over my house with OPEN exhaust on their big ass plane motors is NO PROBLEM!!! 👌🙄🤬

And then you have people driving around in Demons, Vettes, supercars, etc.
Mostly they can afford the tickets anyways.

Maine went so far as to adopt California emmision regulations on cars that came from CA. 👍
Guess where my sh!tbox Focus is from. 😐
The exhaust will cost more than the car is worth IF I can find it.
It stock sippy straw is still around... I'll be deep fried in Motorcrap oil before I pay $2500 for exhaust to choke my car! 🤣

Well, you could probably use a sippy straw for exhaust. The California gas isn't powerful enough to require much more than that 😅

I buy my fuel at the airport! ONLY aircraft fuel for such a FINE piece of cra... errr craftmanship!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I NEED 4" straight duals on that beast!!!

to late it's already spreading. everyone's gone to Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona. luckily the people fleeing typically aren't the ones who turned it this way. but it's still causing problems.

Corvettes don't get stopped (unless visibly modified) Porsche's are the same way. but if you drive a Lambo or Ferrari you can expect to be pulled over and written a chicken poop ticket for doing nothing. exotic car owners know this. it's a cash grab, it's known, but the people who can afford the cars can afford to tickets and don't care.

looks like i need to add Maine to the states i don't want to move to.

Stupid idiots had to move to Tennessee.... GO HOME!
I feel the same way. Most of them, not all, most of them bring the mentality and crappy driving styles with them. Then they usually vote for the same people who did it to them where they came from. To make it worse everything is apartments. More people can fit in a roach motel so more money to be made. Its kinda depressing.
