They're trying to make everything, nowadays, subscription base 😠
Yeppers. They upped my Xbox game pass ultimate by I think 2 dollars so with tax is like 22 bucks a month. And I only use it really to get games and play online. And EA play to play NFS / F1 games but anything else that's included with ultimate subscription I don't use ever.

Your game system won't let you play a game that YOU own? Like you have a h`rd copy of the disc but it still requires internet?
Yeppers. If you don't have Internet, it can't sign you in with your Xbox live profile and kicks you out of your game trying to make you sign in. In this case majority of the time it's not the users internet, it is Xbox live servers being down. I swear this happens at least once a week now. Happened to me like 4 times before. Hey, I got free time, let's go cruise in Forza, nope, Xbox servers are down.

Do all games that you own on disc still require internet or is this a special game? (Is there a NEED for this game to be online?)
All online multiplayer games need Internet or Xbox to be actually working since the game has to sign in with your Xbox account to actually get and save your progress and other stuff.

Yeah but once I pay for the console and the disc, its mine. Subscription over.
Thats just crap.

I would throw it in the woods or use it as a stand formy Optima I guess.
No internet here. 🤣
OMG! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Game console companies and game producing companies are separate entities.
Pretty much gone are the days of just simply buying a game and be done with it. They want a long term steady income.

LMAO!!!
"You built a game not an empire kid"🤣🤣🤣🤣
They would be sorely disappointed with their career choice if left solely to me!

My issue with game companies nowadays has more to do with them increasing game prices every generation and releasing buggier and buggier games to the public, as if we are supposed to be the guinea pigs and find the issues with their garbage products. And don’t even get me started on the forced agenda in some games.

They lost me when they stopped making games for (i think ps 2) and ps 3 wasn't compatible... like yeah, that system was fun but THIS system...
Rule #1 imo.
An "upgrade" needs to be able to do ALL the good things that the previous model also did well.
Backwards incompatability=total fail.
NEXT!!!
If its a different model, say so. Don't try and BS me by using the same name I USED to love!

Sounds like a number of automakers. All these recalls on new vehicles. The new mentality seems to be hurry up and sell not thoroughly tested vehicles. We'll just fix it after we take the consumers' money.

I got a Xbox one and most previous Xbox 360 games are backwards compatible. But OG Xbox games do not work

Cars now are too heavy with too many electronics. Get older cars.

I wish I could add to that, but honestly, I just test drive new cars. I have no idea how they are long-term well apart from what people have told me. My newest car is a 2004, and my daily is a 1995.

This was a VERY common scheme back when. Likely not much changed.
Before EVERY Chevy had a failing digital dash control, Caddilac has it. Lincolns with crap airbag suspensions, on and on. I think mentality was similar excepting that ppl who drive these cars have $$$ and don't mind fixing a car if thry love it.
As long as the dealer can give a customer a warm fuzzy feeling when they "trade in" their 2 year old lemon, a customer is likely to overlook that mistake and continue doing business.
Maybe too because at least then, ppl loved their Lincolns or Caddys and there was NO comparing them! 🤣 Brand loyalty was REAL!

Automakers are slowly pushing out local, independent mechanics by making vehicles nearly unrepairable by traditional means. They make cars completely dependent on software to operate. You can't even simply change a battery, nowadays, by simply disconnecting and reconnecting. They are constantly trying to make it into law that they don't have to share diagnosis codes 😠

That I know, I referring to the recalls part that I didn't know how many are being issued nowadays compared to previously.

The "right to repair" act isn't going to mean anything.
Automakers will install new EVERYTHING in EACH model and make it next to impossible for an independant to keep up.
The manufacturer is required to maintaun stock parts for 7 years for any model.
Logically this would mean all updates on your entierly hackable and thereby virus prone automobile will be outdated every 7 years.
I'm POSITIVE automakers will get backlash. So ONLY THE MANUFACTURER can upgrade and update these dumpsters so we can pay 85% of new cost for a half assed GM referb.
Goodwrench engine anyone?
I don't like driving anyways. I figure abput the same time they stop selling gas, I'll be set with driving anyways.
I'll sell my cars to a museum, stale my license to someone at the DMV's forehead and move to an island where they only ever saw 3 cars and never cared. 🤣
I'll never buy a new car. Whatever makes ppl happy I guess.
The CAN bus system in my Envoy sucks amd its the last one I'll build with a computer.
I'm not going to ask MY computer if its ok to put 37" tires on MY truck ever again. Rolling dumpsters imo. All of them.
