What a clunker!One Is Not Enough
I was originally planning on buying a second SCT410SL, because I've enjoyed the first one so much during the past year. Then the 2.0 came out... my focus was owning that platform. I don't normally buy used RCs, but, for the right price, I will make considerations. Thanks to a RC Tech forum/SCT410SL group member, a new/never ran SL platform has made the coast to coast journey to central PA.
I had been eyeballing the for sale listing since new years day. I thought for sure the SCT410SL would have been picked up by someone before I had a chance to get one of my SC10s sold. I now have a second SL platform that I'm going to run box stock setup to compare handling to my other SL.

I know. Right? Some people like 'em, and others can't stand 'em. What really gets me laughing are the ones that sold their SCT410SL when the SCT410 2.0 came out, then found out they didn't like the SCT410 2.0 platform... went and bought another SCT410SL.What a clunker!
Not yet. Maybe in about a month or two when temps are favorable
. I'm sure there are YouTubers out there with it already done. I just love the weight of the "superlight" platforms compared to my 2wd SCTs that I was always adding weight to. The SCT410SL just fits my driving style and track so well.
I'm all excited for you, 'cause I think you'll thoroughly enjoy your new SCT ride. I may be a bit biased, 'cause I love the way SCTs look, and handle... lean, baby, lean. That extra bit of top heaviness adds to the excitement for me.

What ESC and motor combo is that? I need to figure that out now. I have a max10 combo with the 3665 3200kv motor in my pro4 and it is very fast on 2s but since this will be for racing I'm.thinking the 4000kv motor would be the better choice? My track gets changed up every few months but it is usually pretty tight. Straights usually well under 100 ft. I could always start with the 3200kv from my pro4 and see if it will work for me.One Is Not Enough

That SL, in the picture, is what previous owner was planning to use. I got that SCT410SL as a slider (no electronics/no wheels & tires). A lot of people say a 3665 size motor is a bit overkill for the SL. My backyard track tells me differently
. If I had something on hand already, I'd be testing with what I had.What are you running now? I was looking at tekin stuff too, thinking the pro4HD 550 cans are probably overkill. Which makes me think the HW setup I have might be a good starting point.
