I do not like you anymore. If you send me that Lasernut, we can get back on speaking terms. Seriously, I wants it. Sends it to me now! Gorgeous, gorgeous RC man.
“I wants it” he says!
It is a good looking caged buggy. It mounts much like the tenacity cage I currently use, it looks a lot better too. It appears it would definitely need the longer Truggy chassis to make it all fit.
I was over on the Tekno forum looking up older DB48 build threads and found a guy used .4 buggy arms on his sct to make it wider. Apparently the .4 buggy is wider than the .3. If that is the case I may end up swapping out some .3 parts for the .4 parts to gain some width.

That body reminds of this oldie. I'd love to find one of these cheap.

I want to find a good file to print a new head for my Driver's head.
This is the helmet from "Echo" a clonetrooper from the Bad Batch. I preferably just want to scan this and print it. I have tried a couple scanner apps but they haven't been great.

I'm confused. You printed those? If so, why do you need to scan them?

I bought them from etsy.
Now that I have a printer, I would like to print them rather than buy them again. I'm not that good at modeling so I would have to 3d scan them or get the file from the designer.
I worded that terribly, I apologize

Swapping everything over to the Truggy chassis was the easy part.

The hard part is the body fit up. The lasernut cage is a little longer than the SCBE/Tenacity DB bodies so it requires the longer chassis or it just wouldn’t look right.

I had to design and print my own esc mount. I was previously using a piece of copper sheet metal that I cut out and used spacers to mount to the throttle servo tray and above the center diff. I wanted to get it lower on this one.

It’s just a flat wedge looking thing but it does the trick. It uses 3 screws into the servo tray and 2 into the esc itself along with some double sided sticky for some added support and hopefully cushioning.
Tucks it in nicely right behind the cage.

Stay tuned, as I am currently printing out another shock tower mount for the rear of the body. I want to utilize the spare tire carrier piece too so I will have to get that sorted out.
Looks good so far.

I finally got the rear to mount up to the shock tower. It took a few re-designs and prints to get a part made that fit well. In the end there was still some re-drilling and filing/beveling to get the shock tower mount right.

I borrowed a rear bumper piece from the sct410.3 along with the rear sub frame section from the tenacityDB cage. They mate together at the bottom and the top fastens in with the cage assembly hinge. This Losi cage is on a hinge at the back just like the tenacity DB.

The rear frame from the lasernut does not clear the shock tower and bolt into the hinge section. I removed the part that’s holds on the spare tire and used 2 existing holes to mount it and drilled 2 new holes to tie it into the rear sub frame section.

Getting the scale look of a spare tire on here was a must so I had to get creative.
I used a +10mm injora wheel hex for clearance above the roll cage, attached to a factory Element plastic beadlock from the Sendero HD and mounted it up. 😎
