good evening ppl .i am sure some of you know of the post o made here not to long ago about getingripped off from a guy on another forum in a trade
well i finally got my parts lastnight and installed the engine on my maxx for a test run ,popped right off i may add,
ran for about 3 minutes and flamed out
then nothing ,so anyway i tore it down tonight after tring it again and this is what i found upon the tear down ,
no remeber there is no pcs in the case ,nothing at all,
just take a look and see what ya think
if you notice in the second picture this is no journals left on either side and no wonder it wouldnt start
to say the least right at the moment i am really reallly PISSED OFF

well here is the guy that i traded with and yeah i am very pissed right now ,
he goes by the name PREGMASTER and he sells on radio contro universe ,
not sure if his real name is marty white or not , but when a friend looked up his home number it came up as NAIMA OMAR ..lol
but anyway not sure if he is any other forums but he is from cleveland ohio so just be very aware of this guy

the sirio replacement goes for $56, and is supposed to make more power than the stock trx stuff. sirio also makes a crank with more advanced timing for even more power, and a HD connecting rod with dual bushings.

racin my friend did the sirio conversion on 3 maxx engines so he'd have sleepers....if you don't change all the parts it doesn't work well and they blow up real quick......and once you get all the peices (+ an OS carb, I forget wich one they use but you still have to modify it) to do it you may as well go buy an OS .18 for an extra 15 bucks (if you don't have the carb for the 2.5 already it's more).....if you do the conversions though you will absolutely have one bad ass 2.5 that will shock the hell outta anybody you run against.....but the OS is a better deal if you aren't trying to be sneaky......these guys around here race for money so they pullout all kinds of tricks.....I just don't want to get involved w/ it cause some people get stupid about something that's supposed to be fun.....

yes it does give it more punch....if you know how to mod your porting you can do the same thing....all the sirio does is mod the port for you but they beefed up all the parts that will be weak and sell them all separately....my friend did his so he can race all the ghetto hoody kids that think buying any gas RC with the biggest engine will win the race...he shows them a stock (looking) engine and smokes em...the actually bet odds against each other too....it's hard to resist hustling someone that says their 4-tec goes 80mph cause the box says so and they are willing to bet 100 bucks on it.....if you're running real races or not doing this type of hustle you will end up w/ an engine that's just not worth it......

I think the piston/sleeve head is like 90 bucks
plus you need to upgrade the bearings and then the carb..your up to close to 200 bucks already and that's if you can get a good deal on an OS carb...plus all the work you need to do in assembling the thing.....just buy an OS .18 and be happy w/ more engine than that thing will ever need
